Having a nomination from the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program {SINP) is not a guarantee
that you will be approved for Permanent Residence in Canada. Immigration, Refugees and
Citizenship Canada {IRCC) has the final authority to assess your admissibility to Canada and issue you
an immigration visa. NOTE: Do not make travel arrangements or plans to relocate until after you
receive confirmation from IRCC that you have been approved to receive an immigration visa.

The SINP reserves the right to withdraw nomination certificates for those who do not intend to reside
in Saskatchewan or no longer meet program criteria. Your nomination certificate will also be
withdrawn if we are informed that IRCC denied your permanent residence application.

International Skilled Worker Nominees with Job Offers

If you were nominated with an offer of employment in Saskatchewan, you must arrive to your new place
of employment as soon as possible. To do this you must acquire a temporary work permit from IRCC. To
find out about the application process, please visit https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-
citizenship/services/work-canada/permit/temporary/apply.html. If the conditions of your employment
change (e.g., changein your employer or job; if you lose your job), you must inform the SINP. Failure to do
so may cause your SINP nomination to be withdrawn if you no longer meet program criteria.

Saskatchewan Experience Nominees

If you were nominated while currently working in Saskatchewan, you must ensure that you maintain a valid
work permit for the duration of your permanent residency application. For information on how to extend
your work permit, please see the link below:

International Skilled Workers: Saskatchewan Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand

If you were nominated without a job offer, you should begin looking for employment opportunities in
Saskatchewan using the following resources:

• Job Bank {www.sk.jobbank.gc.ca): Job Bank is a national employment tool designed for job seekers
and employers in Canada. Job Bank provides workers in Canada with labour market tools and
information to help them fulfill their work related goals.
• If you are an Express Entry nominee, you can create a user account in Job Bank to help you
with your job search. You must register using your Express Entry profile number and your job
seeker validation code. The Job Match feature will match your profile with job postings on Job
Bank. Your specific criteria {skills, education, experience and location) are matched to job
postings requiring similar criteria. Employers can see your profile and invite you to apply for
the job.
• If you are an Occupation In-Demand nominee, you can access job postings and labour market
information that are available on the Job Bank website to help you with your job search. You
do not need a Job Bank account to apply for jobs. Once you have legal status in Canada and
are eligible for a Social Insurance Number in Canada, you can create an account on Job Bank.

• SaskJobs {www.saskjobs.ca): SaskJobs is the job bank service for Saskatchewan, allowing job seekers
and employers to connect. Through SaskJobs, you may search available employment opportunities in
Saskatchewan by location and type of work.

Preparing to Come to Saskatchewan

Start to prepare yourself to emigrate. You can visit: https://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents for information
on services related to living in Saskatchewan such as Finding a Job, Cost of Living, Education, Health Care,
Housing, Driver's Licenses and much more.

English or French language skills are very important to help you settle in Canada. The majority of
employment opportunities in Saskatchewan require workers to speak English. If English is not your first
language or if you did not take your training in English, you may want to start taking English language classes
before you leave your home country. Speaking the language will help you adjust more easily to your new
home.
