Narrative Report on the Consultation Meeting of EPP and TLE/TVL,
District Coordinators, Chairperson, and Principal Consultant
January 5, 2024
I. Introduction:

Based on DepEd Memorandum No. 023 s. 2023, the NFOT is a co-curricular activity which is a
clear and proactive reinforcement of the teaching and learning process and reflects the significant
association between what the learners learned in school and what they performed and produced
during the activity. This is a testament that the program and its implementation is worth engaging with
and appropriate to all learners. Conducting such co-curricular activities will surely make them realize
the expected situation in their life after completing their respective course.
Hence, the Pililla Sub-Office is exerting all the time and efforts, personnel, and all available
resources to hold the District Festival of Talent in Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan and
Technology and Livelihood Education/Technical-Vocational Livelihood. A one-day affair/competition
among the learners/participants with their respective coaches to showcase talents and skills in the
event they are participating in.

II. Objectives:
Provide opportunity for learners to showcase their skills and talents in EPP and
TLE/TVL.
Assess learners’ technological and livelihood skills which are set in the K to 12 Basic
Education Curriculum
Make meaning out of their experiences.
Select the best student-participant to join and represent our District in the Division

Chairperson. During the online another consultation meeting was set to be conducted in person on
January 5, 2024, at PES Central Office in Pililla SO.

IV. Implementation:
The second and probably the final consultation meeting was held on January 5, 2024, on the
nd
2 floor of Pililla Sub-Office building Pililla Elementary School Central. It was attended by nineteen
(19) personnel from the 14 schools in the Sub-Office. It was anchored by Mam Vaneza Pusing of
Hulo INHS.
The said meeting was started with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by
an opening Prayer then a roll call of attendees from participating schools was done and led by Mam
Vaneza Pusing.
Mam Judith F. Eullaran rendered the opening remarks. She pointed out the very reason of the
meeting which is to come up with a shared consensus regarding the conduct of upcoming District
FOT. She emphasized fairness will be upheld during the contest so there will be no issues that may
arise with the results and only those deserving participants will be declared winner and represent our
SO in the Division FOT. That is why she invited judges from other SO and others who are no longer
working in the agency.
She also led the meeting proper. Sharing important things in the memorandum for the conduct
of the competition. The actual date of the competition is scheduled for January 12, 2024, at Virgilio B.
Melendres Memorial Elementary School. There will be a registration of all the participants at 7:00 in
the morning. Originally a ₱500.00 registration fee shall be collected per participating school however
a suggestion was made by one of the attendees to base the fee on the school’s category as if they
are large, big, or small school, this was left hanging and yet to be decided. The proceeds of the fees
will be used for the Certificates for winners and Certificates, Snacks and Meals of Judges and
Contest Administrators. It was clarified during the meeting that the materials to be used by the
participants are provided by their respective schools.

b. Food processing (Meat, Fish, and Vegetable)
It is given that EPP and TLE/TVL contests are the most expensive contest to participate in
because of the materials / equipment to be utilized probably a reason for the school to backout and
no longer participate in the event. Mam Sol Combis, Principal of Niogan Elementary School is in
attendance during the meeting, she immediately butted in and encouraged the coordinators to
participate since we are opting to the benefits can bring of the contest to the learners participating.
During the open forum queries and suggestions arise, like:
1. There must be an additional one judge to make them three in all the EPP events.
2. Change of equipment in recycling since it’s too dangerous for the participating pupils
to use blue torch, why not use candle and lighter instead?
3. Mechanics must be followed strictly in terms of the grade level required in every
event to participate in.
The reading of the minutes and agreement was read and reiterated by the assigned
documenter from Quisao INHS, Sir Pollymar M. Gaco.
The closing prayer was led by Mam Maribel B. Anievas from Hulo INHS. The meeting
adjourned around 4:00 O’ Clock in the afternoon.

V. Post-implementation:

The questions and suggestions that were left hang during the meeting are expected to be
answered and should be kept posted in the Chat group where all the EPP and TLE/TVL personnel
are members.
