Complete the following making sure to support your ideas and cite from the textbook and other
course materials per APA guidelines. After the peer review, you have a chance to update this and
format for your Electronic Portfolio due in Module 6.

1) Briefly restate your situation from Module 1 and your role.

Hospitals are complex organizations susceptible to conflicts. This paper aims to identify
the intensity and type of conflict experienced by managers and explore their conflict
management strategies in hospitals. A couple of years back I worked in a hospital and
notice conflicts at the management level and hierarchical structures.

2) Describe how the human resources of the organization influenced the situation.

The primary causes of conflict, as identified by clinical staff, were organizational and job
characteristics, poor management practices, and an inefficient communication system.
Human resources can offer conflict resolution training programs to clinical staff's needs,
focusing on communication skills, organizational management, and addressing conflicts.
This equips staff with conflict resolution techniques, enhancing collaboration and
navigating conflicts within their teams.

Human resources may improve management and supervision training programs for
those in clinical and administrative jobs. Through strengthening managers capacities to
lead teams, promote a healthy work environment, and effectively address disputes,

3) Recommend how you would use the human resources for an alternative course of
action regarding your case.

Hospital managers must work together, compromise, and be tolerant with many
stakeholders due to the nature of the industry. Hospital conflict should be kept at a
productive level by managers who receive the requisite training and employ the
appropriate conflict resolution techniques. The human resource frame aims to achieve
integration of employees' needs and organizational goals. (Bolman & Deal, 140).

4) Reflect on what you would do or not do differently given what you have learned
about this frame.

Managers should make judgments that are objective and founded on merit rather than serving
their own interests. using a personal connection as the only factor in hiring or promoting
someone. This issue raise concerns about the manager's decision-making tendencies and the
potential for bias. It is important to maintain a fair and objective hiring process that considers
qualifications, skills, and potential for success within the organization.
