Subject: Application for sinking some tube-wells in our locality.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am a resident of Kanisi Village, which falls under your block. I am writing this
application to request you to kindly sanction the sinking of some tube-wells in our
locality, as we are facing a severe problem of water scarcity.

Our locality has a population of about 500 people, who depend on a few hand-
pumps and wells for their daily water needs. However, these sources of water are
not sufficient and reliable, as they often dry up or get contaminated. As a result, we
have to face a lot of difficulties and hardships, especially in the summer season,
when the demand for water increases. We have to walk long distances to fetch
water from other places, or buy water from private suppliers at high prices. This
affects our health, hygiene, and livelihood.

Therefore, we request you to kindly look into this matter and approve the sinking
of some tube-wells in our locality. This will greatly benefit us and solve our water
problem. We hope that you will understand our situation and take the necessary
action as soon as possible.
