ratio of the lengths of these rods?
22 A vessel is filled with a gas at a pressure of 76 cm of Hg at a certain temperature. The mass of 2
the gas is increased by 50% by introducing more gas in the vessel at the same temperature. Find
out the resultant pressure of the gas.

and K2 are joined in series .find the expression for equivalent conductivity of a material.
SECTION-E
34. When two sound waves of nearly same frequency and amplitudes travelling in a medium along 4
the same direction, super impose on each other, then the intensity of the resultant sound at a
particular position rises and falls alternately with time. This phenomenon is known as beat ,if
intensity of sound is maximum at time t=0, one beat is said to be formed when intensity becomes
maximum again, after becoming minimum once in between. The time interval between two
successive beats is called beat period. The number of beats produced per second is called beat
frequency.
(a) What should be the time interval between two successive beats to hear them distinctly?
(b) Two sounds of very close frequencies say 256 Hz and 260 Hz are produced
simultaneously .What is the frequency of the resultant sound and also write the number of
beats heard in one second?
OR
A tuning fork of unknown frequency gives 4 beats with a tuning fork of frequency 310 Hz. It
gives the same number of beats on filing. Find the unknown frequency.
(c) If tabla is tightened how the frequency of the sound produce by it will be affected? Give reason
35. In a conservative force field ,we can find the component of force from the potential energy at a 4
point in the field. A positive force means repulsion and a negative force means attraction. From
the given potential energy function U(r) we can find the equilibrium position where force is zero.

(a)Find the work done to move the particle from equilibrium to infinity?

A spring is cut into to equal halves .How is spring constant of each half affected?
(b)Find the % change in kinetic energy if momentum of body increases by 0.01%?
(c) What is the nature of the field as per the conclusion drawn from the form of given
potential energy- conservative or conservative?
