Introduction
In this Lab we studied various engines and their types, specifications, fuel systems, valve trains,
air systems, and pollutants reduction mechanisms. The engines under study, namely K4M,
F9Q, F8T, F4C, XU, and 7NR, represent diverse technologies employed in both gasoline and
diesel engines. By engaging in the disassembly and reassembly of these engines, we gain
practical insights into the functioning and design of different powerplants, facilitating a deeper
understanding of automotive technology.

Objectives
1.Comprehensive Understanding of Engine Types.
2.Examination of Fuel Systems, Valve Train Analysis, Air System Examination, And
Pollutants Reduction Mechanisms.
3.Hands-on Disassembly and Reassembly Skills.
4.Correlation of Theory and Practical Application.
5.Diagnostic and Problem-Solving Skills.

Examination of the cooling and lubricating systems and how they contribute to the
sustainability and performance of the engine. Understanding the many parts of these circuits
such as coolants, hoses, filters, and oil pumps made clear how crucial they are to minimizing
overheating and lowering friction for optimum operation.

The assembly process, in particular the careful handling and placement of pistons, made it
possible to put theoretical knowledge into practice. The assembly process demands accuracy
and close attention to detail, which highlights how important it is to follow the right protocols
to prevent damage or malfunction.

Conclusion
In conclusion, this lab helped us develop a thorough understanding of internal combustion
engines and the related mechanics and parts through the disassembly and identification of the
engine's components. A greater understanding of the workings of the engine was made possible
by the strong correlation between the theoretical knowledge learned in lecture sessions and the
components of the engine. Comprehending the functions and roles of various engine
components, including valves, camshafts, crankshafts, cylinders, pistons, and timing systems,
was essential to grasping the intricacies of engine running.
