causative form
 ประโยคที่เรียกว่า causative form คือประโยคที่แสดงให้เห็นว่า ผู้พูดไม่ได้
กระทาการอย่างหนึ่งด้วยตนเอง แต่ให้คนอื่นทาให้ พูดแบบนี้อาจจะงง ๆ ลองดูประโยค
ภาษาไทยข้างล่างนี้ก่อน

1 ฉัน ล้าง รถ” ฉันล้างรถเอง (เหนื่อยเอง)

2 “ฉัน เอา รถ ไป ล้าง” ฉันให้คนอื่นหรือร้านล้างรถล้างให้

(ไม่ต้องเหนื่อยเอง)

โครงสร้างประโยค causative form

แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภทคือ

1. ประเภทที่บอกผู้กระทา
2. ประเภทที่ไม่บอกผู้กระทา
 1. causative form ประเภทที่ไม่บอกผู้กระทา

มีโครงสร้างคือ

To have something done และ To get something done

*done ในที่นแี้ ทนVerb 3 – something ในที่นี้แทนสิ่งของ

ประโยคตัวอย่าง causative form ประเภทที่ไม่บอกผู้กระทา
I must have my hair cut. It’s too long.
ฉันต้องไปตัดผมแล้วแหละ มันยาวไปแล้ว
She has her car cleaned every Saturday.
เธอเอารถไปล้างทุกๆวันเสาร์
He got his car fixed yesterday.
เขาเอารถไปซ่อมเมื่อวาน

They got their house painted last week.

พวกเขาให้ช่างมาทาสีบ้านเมื่อสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว

We get our book printed in Hong Kong.

พวกเราส่งหนังสือไปตีพิมพ์ที่ฮ่องกง
 2. causative form ประเภทที่บอกผู้กระทา

มีโครงสร้างคือ

To have someone do something และ

To get someone to do something

* do หมายถึงกริยารูป infinitive หรือรูปธรรมดา

ประโยคตัวอย่าง causative form ประเภทที่บอกผู้กระทา
The manager has his employee write the report of
the meeting.
ผู้จัดการให้พนักงานของเขาเขียนรายงานการประชุม
What a woman! She had me show her every hat in
the shop but she didn’t buy anything.
เธอเป็นผู้หญิงอะไรอย่างนี้เนี่ย ให้ผมเอาหมวกในร้าน
ทุกใบออกมาโชว์แต่ไม่ซื้อใบไหนเลย

I couldn’t get the camel to kneel down so I had to
use the ladder.
ฉันไม่สามารถทาให้อูฐคุกเข่าลงมาได้ เลยต้องใช้บันได

I usually get my sister to buy me some cake at

Bobby’s Shop.
ฉันมักจะให้น้องสาวซื้อเค้กที่ร้านบ๊อบบี้อยู่บ่อยๆ
**เพิ่มเติมโครงสร้าง make someone do something แปลว่า “ให้ใครทาอะไรให้
แต่แฝงความหมายเป็นนัยว่าเชิงบังคับ หรืออีกฝ่ายไม่เต็มใจ” เช่น

I made my brother carry my luggage.

ฉันให้น้องชายฉันถือกระเป๋าเดินทางให้
My mom always makes me wash all the dishes
after dinner.
แม่ของฉันมักจะสั่งให้ฉันล้างจานทั้งหมดหลังอาหารค่า เสมอเลย
