TRACK AND FIELDS

Athletics,commonly known as track and field, is a collection of sports


events that involve running, throwing, and jumping.

Greek word “ athlos” meaning contest

In the oval their have 8 lines the round of the track or oval have 400meters
or standard meters

Staggard point- the starting point where the runners start.

Sprint or dashes- 50-400 meters

-SHORT EVENT

100meters straight forward althoughout the competitions


200 meters the players must stay in their lane.
400 meters is under sprint where players cannot change their lanes. (1 laps)

Middle distances events

Raises to 800-3000 meters


In 800 meters the first 100 meter player should stay in lane.
800 meters running in 2 laps
After 800 meters can change the players lanes

Long distance events


Raises to 5000 meters 12.5 ang raises.

In 10.000 meters have 25 lap raise

3.75 lap raise is 1500 lap raises

Relays

4x100 meters the players should.

Received the baton should left hand

Passing the baton should right hand

TRANFER TO THE RIGHT HAND

Hurdles

100 meter for women ( hurdle measurement for women 33 inch high 2 ft
and 9 inch.) (distance 8.5 meters)

110 meter for men (42 inch or 3ft in 6 inch. ) (distance 9.14 meters)

Total hurdles is equal 10 hurdles

Hammer throw
