E. NARRATIVE
On the listed date, at the listed time and location, CDU 74 responded to assist with rioters who were attempting to breech
the U.S. Capitol building. Prior to arrival to the scene, Inspector Glover voiced that rioters were throwing metal objects at
law enforcement, and Platoons were authorized ballistic helmets. CDU 74 donned their ballistic helmets accordingly.
CDU 74 arrived at the police line which had been established on the West side of the Capitol building and reinforced
multiple weak points of the police line, which were initially behind bicycle-rack style fencing . Rioters attempted to cross
the police line by both pushing and pulling on the fence. Rioters also attempted to "kidnap" officers into the crowd by
putting their limbs. Numerous members were accosted and assaulted. During the course of the events, Rioters were given
loud verbal commands to back away from the fencing and not push or pull the fencing as it caused harm to officers who
were holding the line. Furthermore, when the fence was stolen by the crowd, it would return to officers in the form of
metal missiles being thrown. Ultimately, the Rioters broke the police line and a new line was established on the "Inaugural
Platform" and at various entry points into the Capitol. Members also responded inside to address the Rioters who had
already breached the Capitol Building by stablishing tines inside at the Rotunda.
Various forms of force were utilized against the riotous crowd who were assaultive . This included OC Spray, ASP Strikes,
Straight Strikes, Kicks, and Takedowns. Additionally, Mechanical and physical force was utilized . IAD Agents Fawzi and
Pappalardo were notified upon the conclusion of the scene, once it was safe to query members regarding Force .

Hello! I added the other two members force info to my chart. I also sent the roll call and it has
the cads/badges of the officers. These are the sgts:
Also, a few of the forces need some explanation/context. Officer Mays had some force that
she called "ground pushes" which basically sounded to me like she was on the ground
fighting and utilized hand controls, but is not certain if she had kicks because she was jus
trying to push people off of her as our officers kept getting pulled down the stairs and into
the crowd .
The takedown by Officers Tyler and McAllister (he also used an ASP pry on the person to get
the arms) resulted in an unknown Individual stopped . That person would have been subject to
arrest for crossing the police line, but we got overrun and it was necessary to let them go (sgt.
Riley advised the officers, which I wasn't next to them but concur with that determination).
Douglass had a force that he called Mpole pushes" which basically the rioters were trying to
poke and spear the officers with poles (while they were trapped in the hallway to keep rioters
from breaching the Capitol). Douglass pushed the Poles back towards them so officers
wouldn't get harmed ...
Also, my Bwc was knock t I recovered it much later. Officer logo's BwC was taken or
knocked off, as well a Officer War and Officer Carter. All of them got knocked off or taken in
the riot. So, just to advise some video may be miss ing.
