Kimber Dulaney was selected as
a representative this summer for the
2024 Montana Electric Coop Youth
Tour. It will take place in June of this
year.
She was awarded the scholarship
to attend the convention in
Washington, D.C. by completing the
scholarship application, an essay and
a letter of recommendation.
The essay topic was: “If you could
have dinner with any Washington DC
figure, past or present, who would it be
and why? What would you ask them?”
She chose to have dinner with
former President Donald J. Trump.
She and 30 other participants
will get to visit Washington DC and
visit many of the historical places
such as the capitol, the memorials,
National Mall and the Smithsonian.
She will also get a chance to visit
our representatives and senators.
Kimber Dulaney stated, “I am

Glasgow girls win two

Coaches make changes often and switch up some
things during the middle of the season. Glasgow coach
Cami Graham made some changes and the outcome was
better.
The Scotties have won two straight and snapped a
four-game skid.
“Defensively, we had changed a few things,” said
Graham. “We’ve been working with the guards, Tanae
Baker, Macy Martin,and JoJo Chappell. They have really
stepped it up on our pressa nd our ball pressure has gotten
a lot better. That has opened up on offense for us also.”
Coach Graham goes with four guards on the floor at
times.
“It’s so we can pressure the ball,” noted Graham. “I
moved Tanae to the back so she can be an anticipator and
have a little more height up top and that has worked for
us. My guards are really quick and they have been getting
the traps better and working on anticipating better. We
get quite a few steals off of that.”
The latest win came Tuesday night in Sidney where
Eagle-nation saw their team fall to the Class B Scotties
62-53. Glasgow also beat Harlem 54-33 Friday night and
dropped a heart-breaker to Fairview 52-48 Thursday
night.
“Sidney is a really strong and aggressive team, so
that was a big step for our girls,” said Graham. “They stay
mentally strong and physically strong through that game.
So that was a big step for them.”
Glasgow (6-7, 2-3) and Sidney battled through 14
lead changes and nine ties before the Scotties took the
lead for good on Chappell’s bucket midway through the
fourth quarter. Mayzie Yoakam drained a three-pointer
and followed that with a bucket inside the paint for a 54-
48 lead.
The Eagles did cut the deficit to 56-51 on Aiyanna
Kirn’s two free throws. However, Yoakam answered with
another long range bomb. The Eagles did get another
bucket, but were forced to foul, sending the Scotties to
the line for 3 of 4 free throws.
Chappell started and ended the game with a pair of
throws. Glasgow held a 15-13 first quarter lead on Baker’s
three-ball. Sidney’s Ave Norby buried a three at the end
of the first half to make it 26-25 in favor of the Scotties.
The lead changed hands multiple times in the third
before the Eagles took a 45-42 advantage going into the
fourth, Yoakam buried a three to start the fourth, Glasgow
started with a 5-0 run with Gina Page following Yoakam
with a bucket.
Yoakam had another big night, dropping in four
treys and scoring 28 points.
“Offensively, she’s been doing a really good job for
us,” said Graham.
Chappell followed with 16 points, Page had 10,
Baker five, anc Green three.
Norby paced the Eagles with 19 points.
The Scotties started pulling away from Harlem in
the second quarter after holding a slim 9-8 first frame
edge. Yoakam was hitting for the Scotties, netting nine
straight points that gave the Scotties a 28-16 lead at the
break. The freshman scored 18 points in the half.
Chappell started out the third with a bucket, but the
Wildcats cut the 14-point deficit to six late in the period.
Baker assisted Green in scoring four of her six straight
points in the fourth. That gave the Scotties a 46-30 lead
with 5:10 to go.
Harlem (5-5, 1-4) had problems handling the
Glasgow pressure defense.
“Our ball pressure is getting better all the time,”
Graham said. “The kids are getting into better positions
and reading each other better and coming together as
a team. I’m really proud of them for how hard they are
working.”
Yoakam fired in a game-high 29 points in leading
the Scotties. She has been struggling from the foul line,
but was on Friday night, hitting 9 for 12 and bagged two
treys. Green added 12 points, Chappell eight, including
two treys, Page four points, and Paityn Britzman one.
Carly Buxbaum tied the game at 33 with her three
and Emily Johnson’s bucket gave Fairview the go ahead
lead as the Warriors hung on for a four-point victory
Thursday night.
“We let up on our ball pressure in the second half.
They had only 11 points in the first half,” Graham said.
“We had our ball pressure on in the second half, but that
didn’t work for us. Going forward you will see more ball
pressure the whole game.”
That was obvious in the Harlem and Sidney games.
“We were trying to get our legs under us. We had
more sickness going on again,” added Graham. “We got a
little tired. So against Fairview we didn’t press as much as
we should have and it cost us.”
Graham hopes to get the sickness over by tournament
time.
The Scotties will host Rocky Boy Friday night,
travel to Wolf Point Saturday and start another long week
hosting Malta Tuesday night, which is Senior-Night, the
final chance to see the Scotties at home this season.

It all came to a head with a career
criminal being forcibly detained by a
career policeman. The miscreant died
and it has been proven by forensics
that the cop did not kill the criminal. The cop went to
prison and the family of the career criminal was awarded
27 million dollars for the “ wrongful death” of the criminal.
The George Floyd thing started it all. White policemen and
women being tried and convicted and jailed for doing their
jobs.
The NAACP, BLM and all the alphabet protesting
outfits coerced the city of Minneapolis into paying the
bucks or we would totally wreck the city. The city coughed
up the money. Plus all the bleeding heart liberals who also
ponied up another 20 million to the Floyd family. Ask this....
would the family trade all that money for the returned life
of George?
My pernt in this is just this.
Because of the Floyd incident the BLM et al went
on a nationwide rampage on money supplied by the
communist leaning, US hating George Soros. He paid the
demonstrators to go out and create havoc in large cities
like Seattle, Los Angeles and Portland. That’s a fact and has
been proven that it was Soros money that paid these people
to burn police cars, take over a police sub-station in Seattle
and to try to burn down a government building in Portland.
Very few arrests have ever been made in any of the major
cities involved; very few people out of the thousands who
participated went to jail or had to pay a fine.
