 STAINLESS STEEL FOR FASTENERS IN BUILDING

Summary

Because of the technical development, there are now different grades of steel used as fasteners in buildings.
On one side there is a special minimum tensile necessary for fasteners, on the other side there are different
corrosion conditions. If the purpose is well known, there are special steel grades with good mechanical
values and good corrosion resistance to be used as in economic solution with stainless steel. If the purpose
is not really known, especially the general production of fasteners to be sold from stock, there are at least
only three steel grades which can be used.

Especially for single orders for a special purpose stainless steel with good mechanical values and good
corrosion resistance can be an easy solution as fasteners for a long life product.
