TOPIC:-
• ALTERNATE SEGMENT THEOREM
• CYCLIC QUADRILATERAL THEOREM
• ANGLE AT THE CENTRE THEOREM
PAIR:-
• R.AJAY VISHAL
• S.KABHIILAN
ALTERNATE SEGMENT THEOREM
The tangent chord theorem is a theorem in geometry that
states that the product of the lengths of a tangent segment
and a chord that intersects it at the point of tangency is equal
to the square of the length of the radius that is drawn to the
point of tangency. The founder of this theorem is Thales of
Miletus and Pythagoras.
ALTERNATE SEGMENT THEOREM
PROOF
Alternate Segment Theorem is to use
the fact that the angle at the center
of a circle is twice the angle at the
circumference that subtends the
same arc.
CYCLIC QUADRILATERAL THEOREM
A cyclic quadrilateral is a quadrilateral which has all its four
vertices lying on a circle. It is also sometimes called inscribed
quadrilateral. The circle which consists of all the vertices of any
polygon on its circumference is known as the circumcircle. The
founder of this is Anders Johan Lexell.
CYCLIC QUADRILATERAL THEOREM
PROOF

The angle created with a diagonal

and a side of the quadrilateral is
equal in measure to the angle
created by the other diagonal and
opposite side, then the quadrilateral
is cyclic.
ANGLE AT THE CENTRE THEOREM
Angle At The Centre Is Twice The Angle At The Circumference.
The founder of this theorem is Thales of Miletus.
ANGLE AT THE CENTRE THEOREM
PROOF
If an arc subtends an angle at the
centre of a circle and at the
circumference, then the angle at the
centre is twice the size of the angle
at the circumference.
