In what ways has your exploration of behavioral disorders influenced your personal and professional
development? How might this knowledge be applied in future career?

Exploration of behavioral disorder made me realized that its scope is really wide. It is common for
children who have various behavioral difficulties to also have learning disabilities. It might be difficult, if
not impossible, to distinguish whether the behavior problem is the cause of the learning disorder or
whether the learning disorder caused the behavior disorder. Identifying the disorders, on the other
hand, is a step toward understanding how to help the kid or teenager learn to cope with the challenges
he or she may be facing. Moreover, the symptoms of some disorders are really common problem such
as aggressiveness, social anxiety, and even binge-eating. It may be difficult to recognize that these
actions are already signs of behavioral disorder. As a teacher, I must observe these “behaviors”
carefully. Working with children, adolescents, or students who have behavioral issues may be extremely
difficult, both in and out of the classroom. Being knowledgeable enough with these behaviors, can help
teachers . Developing relationships with kids who have a behavioral condition may be both challenging
and time consuming. Frequently, the behaviors that these pupils' actions are only a cover for what is
going on within their heads and bodies. To assist students in changing their own habits, it is necessary to
first assist the student in identifying why they are acting in a specific way. Recognizing and
comprehending behavioral issues allows you to foster a positive and inclusive educational atmosphere.
Behavior management strategies targeted to unique requirements can assist ensure that all kids can
study well. Understanding behavioral disorders is critical for developing empathy, offering appropriate
assistance, enhancing educational and work settings, and increasing general mental health and well-
being. It contributes to the development of inclusive communities and empowers individuals to seek
and receive the appropriate assistance and resources. Despite of these challenges, it is still important to
praise the child. Rather than concentrating on your child's bad behaviors, look for opportunities to
reward him or her for modest acts of kindness and excellent behavior. Praise boosts your child's self-
esteem and encourages them to engage in behaviors that you appreciate. It’s really important that one
should maintain his/her composure and respond to the situation rather than reacting to it. Make certain
that your actions do not contribute to or exacerbate the problem. Recognize when you require
assistance and when you should enlist the assistance of others. Proactive strategies include changing
task characteristics, reorganizing the physical environment, clarifying routines and expectations, revising
the activity schedule, changing social interactions, providing more options, increasing predictability of
the setting, and addressing the cause of the behavior. Educators plays a significant role in assisting
families in positively and effectively supporting and guiding their child's behavior. Creating collaborative
relationships that include respectful communication regarding all elements of a child's development
allows both sides to take a more holistic approach to learning. Empathy, or attempting to put yourself in
the shoes of the child, may frequently assist the teacher in determining the most effective reaction to
their behavior. Behavior may not always indicate the same thing to a youngster as it does to an adult.
Children may not always get it right since each circumstance is different and they are learning skills and
the capacity to cope with complicated social settings in the real world. As an educator, it is my duty to
help the students with special needs to manage their behavioral problems inside or outside the
educational institution.
