4 Solution Overview

4.1 LAN/ Wi-Fi

Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT)


infrastructure and smart devices.

Design Considerations:

 Fiber Backbone network.


 40G QSFP+ ports for uplink for editing room
 convenient built-in SFP+ 10GbE uplinks provide performance for bandwidth hungry
applications

Solution is provided with redundant switches with dual power supplies. Also, the Uplinks with 10G
Backbone connections. Proposed Network, High level design shown in the below.

4.3.2 Mobility

Mobility means providing location independent access to central communication system. Wi-Fi, WI-
Max and Bluetooth are the existing technologies that we can converge with our solution.

4.3.3 New Technology integration

PhonikIP system supports for third-party Software integration, SIP-based applications and devices.
Soft phones, Wi- fi Phones, Video enables Soft phones or IP Phones or Bluetooth enabled devices.

4.3.4 Video Phones

The typical IP video phone is a compact, all-in-one desktop phone that takes the complexity out of
video conferencing and allows free person-to-person video calls anywhere in the world over a
broadband or VPN IP connection. These products provide large and small enterprises, government
institutions and educational environments with tools to be more productive, train and educate more
efficiently, and avoid the burden of travel expenses. As IP network deployments continue to grow,
consumers are looking for additional features and integration of video streaming capabilities in a
cost-effective fashion.

4.3.5 Orecx - VOIP Call Recording & Monitoring

Orecx is using innovative packet sniffing technology to records and monitor calls without interfering
with the IP PBX. Orecx monitors VoIP packets via port mirroring on the data switch connected to the
IP PBX. Every VoIP packet that goes to and from the IP PBX is copied to the Orecx Server which then
reassembles the packets into a recorded call, and compresses and stores the recorded call for later
retrieval.

4.3.6 High availability – advanced options

We can provide active-active server redundancy. PhonikIP offers a solution called "Live Backup
Server" (LBS) that can be purchased at the same time you purchase your IP PABX System. It's offered
as an add-on package. If you order your system with LBS, it can be used to replace your IP PABX
system in the event of a hardware failure at any time. The LBS keeps a current backup of all contents
(on 30-minute intervals) from the primary system.

4.3.7 CTI (Computer Telephony Integration)

CTI integrates telephone and computer operations by linking databases to the telephone
connection. A common perception is that CTI is just for a "screen pop," in which customer
information "pops up" on an agent's screen as a call is received. Today CTI encompasses far more as
the coordination of real time voice events and database events is far more sophisticated today
allowing real time feedback for Dynamic Routing Schemes, Call Flow Scripting, Workforce
Management and Real Time Reporting.

4.3.8 IVR (Interactive Voice Response) / FOD (Fax on Demand)

IVR and FOD provide information to a customer by turning the keypad of a telephone into a
keyboard. As a result, many standard queries formerly answered by an agent can be handled by an
IVR, freeing agents for more complex, value-added work. It also gives customers a self-service
option, speeding up the transaction for the customer.

4.3.9 Interfaces for Integration with Applications

Our solution can integrate with other applications such as Customer Relationship Manager (CRM)
modules, Call recording software, Lead Management Software and Billing Applications for Screen
Pop-ups, Predictive Dialing, etc.

4.3.10 Universal Media Handling

Customers will be able to call up, send a Fax, send an email, visit the Web site or have a text chat
with the organization’s representatives. This is provided by the Universal Media handling capability
of IP PABX environment, which handles all the messages in an integrated manner using common

Proposed Cameras for the CCTV system are with Minimum 2MP resolution. Storage is calculated for
the 30 day continues recording with 15 fps and 2MP resolution. Six 32 channel NVRs proposed for
the solution. Inside the studio Hikvision Darkfighter cameras proposed to observed surveillance in
very low light.

4.5 PA System

IP PA system proposed for the solution. There are six zones designed for the building.

4.6 Assumptions and expectations

 Server room Rack or UPS for not proposed.


 Power for the floor racks, expects from the customer.
 Power wiring for the Access Controllers are expects from the customer.
 Warranty will be provided for manufacturers defects only. Warranty will be not provided for
any damages caused to the products by Act of God’s, fire, flood, power surge etc.
 Any additional cost incurred due to additional infrastructure if required will have to be borne
by the customer.
 All prices quoted are valid for a period of 30 days from the proposed date.
 Payment 50% on Advance. 30% on delivery, 10 on implementation, Balance after signing up
the UAT.
 Delivery 4-6 weeks from the date received the advance payment.
 US$ conversion rate would be the selling rate of Central Bank of Sri Lanka
 In addition to the above charges all government statutory levies, which are applicable from
time to time will be charged. Current applicable rates are as follows. Any variations in this
regards or unfrozen charges levied by the government will be applicable to the customer.

5 Services

Maintenance and support for the smooth functioning of the solution after successful
implementation is crucial for the long-term stability of the system. AIT proposed standard support
offering is detailed below.

5.1 Support Coverage

This covers standard support services between working hours and access to help desk staff 24 x 7
initial response.

Escalation of critical issues outside of time window is to be agreed with client.

5.2 Support Structure

 First Line of Support – By local Systems Integrator (AIT).

 Second Line of Support – Will be provided by respective principals and distributors,


Initiated by AIT.

 Third Line of Support - Will be provided by respective principals of hardware and


software.

5.3 Method of Contact

 Technical support will be performed in a timely and professional manner by qualified


support engineers from AIT, who are familiar with the respective products.
 For all incidents, direct access to technical support and the ability to open and manage
support incidents online through support@ait.lk or respective principals support portals.
 24x7x365 telephone support for Severity 1 incidents for software only issues.
 24x7x365 access to online technical support and access to software product and
Documentation, downloads, Fixes, Service Packs, patch downloads, user groups, and forums.
 Interactive remote diagnostic support allowing technical support engineers to troubleshoot
an incident securely through a real-time browser-based remote-control feature.

6 Terms & Conditions

6.1 Acceptance of Orders

The Customer acknowledges agreement with these Terms and Conditions of Sale by the placement
of a written order to purchase products and services from Adapt information technologies (Pvt) Ltd.

6.2 Validity of offer

Our Offer is valid for 30 days from the quotation. Prices include taxes, duties and other
miscellaneous costs. Due to the dynamic nature of the industry substantial changes in the
government policy, duties & taxes, devaluation etc. these changes will have to be borne by
customer.

6.3 Payment

50% with the written PO & 30% on delivery, 10 on implementation, Balance after signing up the UAT.

Cheques should be raised in favor of “Adapt Information Technologies (Pvt) Ltd”.

6.4 Hardware

All defective parts should be promptly released (by customer) to AIT for expedited resolution

6.5 Tax & Conversion

1. All the applicable government taxes should be added, at the time of releasing the Purchase
Order.
2. The prices in this proposal are based upon an exchange rate of LKR to USD by the Central Bank
of Sri Lanka. The base rate is subject to change at the time of issue of invoice using the daily
exchange rate published by The Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The Exchange Rate used for price
adjustments shall be calculated to four (4) decimal places. In the event the Exchange Rate for
the day preceding the day of billing has fluctuated beyond 3%, relative to the Base Rate, AIT
shall have the right to adjust the Base Price accordingly.

6.6 Warranty will not be honored;

1. For damages caused by - power surges, insects, rodents and other animals, liquid spillage,
physical impacts, corrosion, usage not suitable for the product, wear and tear due to excessive
usage.
2. Cosmetic repairs. (discoloring, fading of external components)
