I. Abstract

I have chosen to undergo 16-week industrial training at Muqmeen Group which is a

Bumiputera agency conducting a takaful-related business. Muqmeen Group is the first takaful

agency capable of achieving an annual sales of RM 100 million by 2020. Muqmeen Group,

formerly known as al-Isra Associates Sdn Bhd, is also renamed and is now known as

Muqmeen Group.

During my internship period, my manager has been assigned me as the digital

marketer and in addition made me as a takaful agent. I mostly design the poster and post it in

social media such as Facebook and Instagram. I work remotely from Monday to Sunday.

Along the muqmeen group, I have followed a series of compulsory classes that need to be

attended for 6 weeks consisting of "Internship Class", "Agency Foundation Training Class"

and "Agency Intermediate Training" where all classes will last for 2 weeks. During the

Internship Class, the I was exposed to the specific to be used in the insurance and takaful

industry as well as I will also learn the basic items related to takaful. I have also occupied two

exams called “Takaful Basic Examination" (TBE) and Pre-Contract Examination "(PCE) and

Pre-Contract Examination" (PCE) where it allows me to make sales of takaful products

legally in the legal law. I have also studied the sales cycle or processes in making sales of

takaful products as long as I undergo industrial training at Muqmeen Group.

There are a lot of experience I gain during my industrial training. I learn on how to be

a good entrepreneur in takaful industry. I am obtaining additional information through a

partnership session held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am to 10am where all

agents will gather together to share knowledge covering various topics that can be applied or

applied by other agents. I have also identified the problems faced by the implementation of

this cycle where it relates to individual issues either from the customer and the agent itself.

From customer context, the problems faced are the lack of awareness in each prospect where

they do not understand the benefits they will take when they take insurance and takaful plans.

The problems faced by agents are the lack of encouragement from the nearest individual as

well as personality problems of embarrassment to try.

Last but not least, I'd like to thank Allah SWT for providing me with good health for

me to do the industrial training safely. I'd like to express my gratitude to my beloved family

for their love and support for me. I would to thank and compliment my industrial training

supervisor Mr. Norman bin Mansor during my industrial training which helps me in assisting

and scouting me during my journey on 4 months in the industrial training. He is polite and

kind, and also, he guides & helps me to do certain work that is not in my skills. Without him

during monitoring, I won’t complete my internship program. I'd want to show my gratitude to

beloved lecturers who led me and my fellow interns during the internship training, from

beginning to the end.

III. Objectives

Before declaring myself a Diploma in Digital Marketing graduate, I should first

complete this report in order to fulfil the requirements of industrial training in Semester 7.

This report is about the chosen company and its background, as well as what my profession is

in the company for the next four months and how it is carried out. During my internship at

this company, I will update you on my progress and tasks. This industrial training has been

ongoing for 4 months, with a total of sixteen weeks required by college rules and regulations

to complete the industrial training. This internship program runs from July 13th to November

1st, 2021.

The objective of this report is to let my academic supervisor know about my works

during my internship. Throughout this report, my supervisor will able to understand about my

works at the company. This will help my supervisor during the presentation. This also will

become the strong evidence about my works at the company because I will attach picture of

my works.

Industrial training is an important way of preparing students for real-world work. It

will assist students in becoming more self-assured and prepared to deal with real life. If those

who did not complete or attend the industrial training, they may find it difficult to adapt to

and cooperate with a working culture that is very different from that of a student. That is why

industrial training is so important for students prior to graduation.

IV. Company Profile

i. Company background

Muqmeen Group is an agency that runs a very well-known insurance and takaful

business in Malaysia. Muqmeen Group is essentially a combination of several agency units

registered under Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad and Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad.

Muqmeen Group was officially established on June 4, 2014. The origin of the

establishment of Muqmeen Group is starting from the proposals from several directors at the

Al-Isra Associates Sdn Bhd agency which is now renamed the muqmeen group. The

establishment of Muqmeen Group is also to provide opportunities for Al-Isra Agencies

throughout Malaysia to have their own brand and no longer use the name Al-Isra Associates.

Muqmeen Group main office located at level 7, Jaya 33, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In

the re-branding process, Muqmeen Group has held a series of discussions where it has

involved several units and has reached agreement and has made a concept paper on the

business model to be implemented after rebranding. As a result, all units agree to use the

name of Muqmeen Group as a new name for Al-Isra-Associates Sdn Bhd. The word

muqmeen is taken on the basis of surah al-Mukminin verses 1 to 11 and "muqmeen" is

chosen only for commercial purposes and its uniqueness. Mission and Visions.

 Inform all consultants (managers, financial consultants, staff, and business partners)

more about importance of Islamic financial planning in accomplishing their goals.

 Make a stronger and conducive working environment for all consultants in order for

them to succeed in their careers.

 Create exceptional financial consultants and Bumiputera consultants to meet the

challenges of competitive insurance and takaful.

from different backgrounds and disciplines

 Manage financial consultants based on healthy and standardized practices to form a

 Problem – Because this is not my area of expertise, it is difficult for me to adjust to

 Experience Gained: I was able to generate a coding website and publish it on

 Problem – It is hard to do because I learned coding just 7 weeks in semester 6 and I

am not familiar with coding

ii. Problem encountered and Problem Solving

For problem that I encountered is, I alongside from being a digital marketing

intern with this organization, I've also been offered the position as takaful agent. In

the beginning, it is hard for me as takaful agent because it's not my expertise in this

career. I had to deal with clients, and it was difficult to persuade them to buy

insurance from me or even listen to an explanation about insurance. To solve the

problem that I encountered, I recommend that the company inform the student about

the challenge of being a takaful agent ahead of time.

iii. The professional and ethical issues, health and environmental issues

During my internship, there is no professional and ethical issues. But it does

have problem for environmental issues because I unable to go to the office and need

to work from home. Because of this I may decreased my social life. While working

from home may be free of distractions from other folks in the office, it can be pretty

rough on my social life. When spending many hours of your day inside with little to

no human interaction, you will without a doubt begin feeling isolated. By working

from home it will automatically miss out on office friendships, which in the end make

work life much more enjoyable.

III. Conclusion

Industrial training allows students to put what they have learned during their studies

into practice. It will assist them in adjusting to their new working environment. The majority

of students do well in their studies, but they do not know how to perform in a real-world

working environment. Internships will provide them with a clear picture of what work

actually means.

According to the training summary, the majority of related taught with college-related

content are valid. The majority of what they teach is applicable to our course, which is related

to digital marketing. This company is concerned with quality rather than quantity.

During my time at work my major task is making a poster for prudential product for

contents to put in a social media. From that, the other agents can use my poster to promote it

through their social media. My other contribution to the company is by making a sale. I am

not only just making a poster or video, I also can sell Prudential product because I am also

takaful agent.

Based on our experience, we now have a new work environment in which we spend

the majority of our time working from home due to the national lockdown imposed by the

pandemic COVID-19 that has affected Malaysia and its region. We believe that the college

should prepare students with work from home.
