INQUIRY LESSON PLAN FOR WEEK 5 ENDING FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2023

SUBJECT: MATH
TOPIC: Integers (Multiplication and Division)
CLASS: 7TH GRADE
DURATION: 45 MINUTES
NUMBER IN CLASS: 4
SEX: MIXED
SEMESTER: 1ST
QUARTER: 1ST
TEACHER: MR. CHRIS ORYA
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the students should
be able to;
i. Multiply integers.
ii. Dividing integers.
iii. Will identify and plot coordinate plane.
LEARNING RESOURCES: PRE-ALGEBRA (McDougal Little)
REFERENCES:
ENTRY BEHAVIOUR: Learners are familiar with addition and subtraction
of integers
PRESENTATION

INTRODUCTION: Teacher informs the learners that they will learn about
multiplying and dividing positive and negative integers. He tells them to
always remember these rules when multiply integers and dividing integers.

 The product of a negative and a positive integer is always negative.

 The product of two positive integers is always positive.

 The quotient of two integers with the same sign is positive

 The quotient of two integers with different signs is negative.

STEP 2 Teacher leads the learners to multiply and divide integers with
different and same signs.

EXAMPLE 1: Find the product

a) -3(-12) = 36 b) -3(12) = -36 c) 3(-12) = -36

EXAMPLE 2: Dive the integers

a) b)

Guided Practice: Pre-Algebra

STEP 3:
The teacher introduces the coordinate plane. A coordinate plane is
formed by the intersection of a horizontal number line called the x-axis and
a vertical number line called the y-axis. The axes meet at a point called the
Origin and divide the coordinate plane into four quadrants

He leads the learners to identify points on the coordinate plane.

Notes:

These points should be identified by the learners.
