2012 Epic Racing Cycling Team Sponsorship Proposal

Epic Racing is a new team with a strong heritage of winning and cycling advocacy. While the team may be new, many of the members and management have been together for years. We are a highly experienced and talented team looking to get back to the grass roots atmosphere that attracted us to racing. The quality of our team members is a testament to the quality experience that Epic Racing provides. Our team is made up of talented men and women in the disciplines of cross-country, downhill, cyclocross, and a few hearty-souled single speed devotees. Our team is elite but far from elitist.

Team Successes
Our members have a strong history of success that immediately positions Epic Racing as the premier mountain bike racing organization in the Northwest. Team members compete in regional, national and international events. The results are impressive.

Plans & Goals for 2012

In the coming 2012 season our focus is on creating a big splash in the regional racing scene. Epic racing will be highly visible both on and off the trail. We will continue to dominate races with our skills on the course, overwhelming visibility and ever-present sportsmanship. In 2012 our goal is to participate in all regional mountain bike and cyclocross race series. Team members are encouraged to challenge themselves by moving up in classification, participating in more races, offering available time to help promote the sport and to improve as a cyclist. Last but not least, we encourage team members to travel outside our Northwest region to race. Not only does this help increase visibility of our sponsors and supporters, it allows members a chance to interact with teams in other regions. Our philosophy is that mountain biking is part of a healthy active lifestyle embraced by athletes who compete enthusiastically, seek challenge and choose to experience life.

Product Awareness - First and foremost, Epic Racing buys gear and uses it at competitive events. Utilizing the power of word-of-mouth, the team is frequently asked how equipment they use works. Not only are we loyal consumers, we provide a great tool to communicate to the larger cycling audience. Team Web Site Our team web site is the place to keep up with the team. The site will feature logo placements, links, and product reviews to maximize exposure. We will make sure stories on our site about your products show up in search engines and are discoverable by your target market. Dont forget the jersey! Sponsors receive a logo on the very visible Epic Racing jersey. The Epic Racing jersey acts as a visible endorsement of cycling. Team members wear their team colors proudly at events, training rides, and recreational rides.

Product Support Request

We are requesting your support via discounted products. We would like to reward our 10 elite riders with select product at little or no cost. Supporting a highly-visible team like Epic Racing allows you to bring attention to specific products and highlight them to a very targeted audience while helping us offset the high costs of competitive cycling. Last year alone, team members purchased products with an estimated retail value of $75,000 through our sponsors. The downstream effect of other consumers being influenced by the Epic Racing affiliation is likely to be substantially greater.

We are requesting confirmation of acceptance by December 1st to allow sufficient time to design, order and receive team jerseys prior to the 2012 season We want partnerships, not handouts. Your commitment and support enables you to play a highly visible role in the Northwest mountain bike scene. Epic Racing will stand behind your products. Thank you for your time and consideration.
