The Tale of Baranggay Azpetia

Deep in the lush Philippine wilderness, deep in the forests of Agusan del Sur, a magical legend was born.
First, Azlan, a lively boy from the Kamayo tribe, met a very beautiful woman named Peti, a beautiful
woman from the enemy tribe. On a fine day, the two crossed their paths. It would be an
understatement to call it attraction at first glance because on that moment, they fell in love. Similarly,
just like any young couple in love, they faced challenges. Despite their strong connection, their love was
not allowed in their communities because of the historical enmity between their tribes.

Because of this, Azlan and Peti decided to leave their tribes and searched for a place of their own, a
home where love could thrive without judgment. Soon, the place they found flourished. People across
different cultures who are seeking home went there. They knew they needed a name, so they called it
Azpetia, symbolizing the harmony they wished to create and honoring the young couple. In this new
village, people from different tribes and places came together and felt welcome. As a result, Azpetia
became a symbol of love and togetherness, where everyone celebrated their differences.

Azlan and Peti's story was a reminder that love can bring people together, truly, no matter where
they're from, even if they were from rival tribes. Such as their example inspired others to be more
accepting of one another. Moreover, it showed that love is strong and can cross any boundary, even if it
means creating something new. Under certain circumstances, their love blossomed, and almost
magically, Azpetia came to life.

Finally, Azlan and Peti's love story serves as a reminder that love can unite people from different
backgrounds, therefore showing that love knows no bounds and can conquer all, even the age-old
enmity between tribes.

Certainly, here are two questions for each category:

Literal Questions:

1. What was the name of the village that Azlan and Peti created, and what did it symbolize?

2. How did Azlan and Peti meet, and what was the initial reaction between them?

Inferential Questions:

1. Why did the love between Azlan and Peti face opposition from their respective tribes, and what does
this reveal about the tribal conflict?

2. How did the creation of Azpetia impact people from different cultures seeking a home, and what does
it suggest about the community they built?

Critical Questions:
1. How did Azlan and Peti's love story challenge societal norms, and in what ways did it promote unity
among people from different backgrounds?

2. What broader lessons can we learn from Azlan and Peti's example about the power of love to
transcend boundaries and bring people together, and how might these lessons apply to real-life
situations?
