‫على هامش المشاركة يف معرض‬
‫القاهرة الدولي للكتاب ‪2024‬‬

‫تأســس مركــز أبوظبــي للغــة العربيــة لتعزيــز حضــور اللغــة‬
‫العربيــة بوصفهــا لغــة ثقافــة وعلــم وإبــداع‪ ،‬ويعمــل وفــق‬
‫اســتراتيجية متخصصــة وشــراكات مــع كيانــات كبــرى‪ ،‬ويديــر‬
‫مجموعــة مــن البرامــج والمبــادرات التــي تشــمل منظومــة‬
‫منــح بحثيــة وجوائــز متخصصة ومؤتمرات وندوات وأنشــطة‬
‫دورــية ومــعارض كــتب عالمــية ومهرجاــنات كــتب محلــية‬

‫ومن أبرز المشروعات والمبادرات والبرامج التي يديرها‪:‬‬

‫معــرض أبوظبــي الدولــي للكتــاب الــذي يصنــف ضمــن‬

‫معــارض الكتــب الرائــدة فــي المنطقــة بمشــاركة مــا يقــارب‬
‫‪ 1000‬عــارض وأكثــر مــن ‪ 300‬ألــف زائــر ســنويًاً ‪ ،‬ويســتكمل‬
‫مهرجانــا العيــن والظفــرة للكتــاب الصــورة باحتفائهمــا‬
‫بالكاــتب والكــتاب اإلماراــتي وإــثراء الواقع الثقافي المحلي‬

‫كمــا أطلــق المركــز فــي ‪ 2023‬ألول مــرة مهرجــان “أيــام‬

‫احتفــاًء باللغــة العربيــة‪ ،‬وتأكيــدًاً علــى أهميتهــا‬
‫ً‬ ‫العربيــة”‬
‫ومســتقبًال‪ ،‬ودورهــا الفاعــل فــي رفــد‬
‫ً‬ ‫تاريخّيــًاً ‪ ،‬وحاضــرًاً ‪،‬‬
‫ّ‬
‫الثقاــفة والحــضارة عــبر الزــمن‬

‫متــكامًال يرعــى جهــود البحــث‬

‫ً‬ ‫ويديــر المركــز برنامجــ�ا‬
‫العلمــي باللغــة العربيــة‪ ،‬وتســتكمل الجهــد البحثــي‬
‫المحّكمــة‬
‫ّ‬ ‫مجلــة “المركــز‪ :‬مجلــة الدراســات العربيــة”‬
‫المتخصصــة فــي الدراســات العربيــة‪ ،‬والصــادرة بالتعــاون‬
‫ــمع دار نــشر “برــيل” العالمــية‬

‫أمــا مشــروع كلمــة للترجمــة الــذي أطلــق بهــدف إحيــاء‬

‫حركــة الترجمــة فــي العالــم العربــي ومــد جســور التواصل بين‬
‫الحضــارات‪ ،‬فقــد أثــرى المكتبــة العربيــة حتــى اآلن بـــ ‪1273‬‬
‫كتابــًاً مترجمــًاً مــن ‪ 22‬لغــة فــي ‪ 10‬حقــول معرفيــة بالتعاون‬
‫مــع ‪ 1452‬مترجمــًاً وأكثــر مــن ‪ 200‬دار نــشر عالمــية‬
‫وألن الكّتّ ــاب هــم أهــم ركيــزة لتعزيــز حضــور اللغــة العربيــة‬
‫وترســيخ مكانتهــا لغــة ثقافــة وعلــم وإبــداع‪ ،‬كان ال بــد مــن‬
‫تكريمهــم لمســاهماتهم فــي مجــاالت التنميــة والتأليــف‬
‫والترجمــة فــي العلــوم اإلنســانية مــن خالل جائــزة الشــيخ‬
‫زايــد للكتــاب التــي تحظــى بمكانــة عالميــة مرموقــة‬
‫وتمنــح ســنويًاً وفــق معاييــر علميــة وموضوعيــة لصنــاع‬
‫الثقافــة والمفكريــن والمبدعيــن والناشــرين والشــباب‪،‬‬
‫والتــي وصــل عــدد ترشــيحات دورتهــا الحاليــة ألكثــر مــن‬
‫‪ 4000‬ترــشيح ــفي فروعــها العــشرة‬

‫كمــا اســتحدث المركــز جائــزة كنــز الجيــل عــام ‪2022‬‬

‫بهــدف تعزيــز مكانــة الشــعر الشــعبي‪ ،‬وال ســيما النبطــي‪،‬‬
‫ـرآًة للمجتمــع مســتلمهًاً اســمها وأهدافهــا‬ ‫وإبــراز دوره مـ ً‬
‫مــن أشــعار األب المؤســس المغفــور لــه الشــيخ زايــد بــن‬
‫ــسلطان آل نهــيان‪ ،‬طــيب الــله ــثراه‬

‫ويقــدم المركــز أيضــًاً جائــزة ســرد الذهــب‪ ،‬وهــي جائــزة‬

‫ســنوية جديــدة‪ ،‬تتألــف مــن ســت فئــات‪ :‬القصــة القصيــرة‬

Programme
on the sidelines of Cairo
International Book Fair 2024

Established to foster Arabic as a language of
culture, knowledge, and creativity; Abu Dhabi
Arabic Language Centre (ALC) runs a set of
programmes and initiatives including research
grants, specialised awards, conferences,
seminars, periodic activities, international book
fairs, and local book festivals, in accordance
with a specialised strategy and partnerships
with major entities.
Among the most notable projects, initiatives,
and programmes managed by ALC are:
Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, with nearly
1,000 exhibitors and over 300,000 visitors a
year, is one of the region’s leading book fairs
which works combinedly with 2 other local book
festivals to enrich the regional and local cultural
scenery; Al Ain and Al Dhafra Book Festivals
which celebrate Emirati writers and books.
ALC also launched “Arabian Days” Festival in
2023 to celebrate Arabic language and culture,
emphasising its heritage, value, and future in
poetry, literature, creative arts, and daily life.
ALC also operates an integrated programme
to support the scientific research in the Arabic
language field with the Al-Markaz, Majallat
al- Dirasat al-Arabiyya [The Centre: Journal of
Arabic Studies], an open-access peer-reviewed
academic journal published in collaboration
with the international “Brill” publishing house,
being the cherry on the top of this programme.
Kalima Translation Project: Launched to
revitalise the translation movement in the
Arab World and build bridges of intercultural
communication. Kalima has so far enriched
Arab libraries with 1,273 books translated
from 22 languages in 10 different fields
of knowledge, in collaboration with 1,452
translators and over 200 international
publishing houses.
Sheikh Zayed Book Award: Because writers
are the most important pillar for enhancing
the presence of the Arabic language and
fostering its status as a language of culture,
knowledge, and creativity; it is necessary to
honour them for their contributions in the
fields of development, writing, and translation
in human sciences. With the Sheikh Zayed
Book Award’s prestigious international
standing, it is awarded annually according to
scientific and objective standards to culture
creators, publishers, and youth, with over
4,000 nominations in the current cycle across
its 10 categories.
Kanz Al Jeel Award: ALC has also launched
this award in 2022 to elevate popular
poetry, particularly the Nabati poetry, and
emphasising its role in the society, with its
name and objectives being derived from the
poetry and vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin
Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace.
Sard Al Thahab Award is a new annual award.
It consists of six categories: Short Story for
unpublished stories، Short Story for published
stories، Emirati Narration، Illustrated Story،
Popular Narratives, Narrators.
