Background
When thrift shops got popular among Gen Z and Millenials in 2020, Tjapjadoel was devoted
to creating a virtual thrift shopping experience. We provide websites to allow our potential
customers to browse second-hand products easily all from the palm of their hand. We allow
our customers to find unique treasures that they won’t find anywhere else.

This report will analyze our sales performance from 2020 to 2021, along with survey results
and social media pages from 2021 in order to learn the effectiveness of our current
marketing campaign and to plot a course for future development.

Key Findings
● For the 2021 calendar year, overall total sales were up 155.17% when compared to
2020 total sales.
● In 2020, the total number of visitors who visited the website of Tjapjadoel reached
10,684 visitors and was viewed 26,599 times by visitors.
● In 2021, the total number of visitors who visited the website of Tjapjadoel reached
109,867 visitors and was viewed 348,531 times by visitors.
● In 2020, the highest total sales of Tjapjadoel is in December with 12 orders and the
lowest is in June with 423 orders.
● In 2021 the highest total sales of Tjapjadoel is in May with 538 orders and the lowest
is in August with 195 orders.
● Overall total viewers from 2020 had increased up to 232.64% until the end of 2021.
● Overall total orders from 2020 had increased up to 141.96% until the end of 2021.
Recommendations
● Determine the capital. Before we have a thrift shop business, we must prepare
capital first. The secondhand shop business is a business that doesn't require too
much capital so you don't have to worry too much about capital.
● Research the target market. With target market research, we can determine a
Unique Selling Point (USP) that is different from other competitors. In addition, with
target market research we can also determine what products are in great demand by
the target market.
● Create good content for the website and social media. With good content, we can do
this with product photos first. This way is an attempt to make our products more
attractive and aesthetically pleasing.
● Take advantage of marketing, especially on Instagram. So that the thrift store
business is better known by the target market and can generate sales, we must be
able to take advantage of marketing as well as possible. This marketing can be
learned very easily, one of them is by looking for training classes or by watching
youtube videos on how to market our products.

Conclusion
In conclusion, the growing use of used goods that began in Indonesia in August 2021
brought a significant impact on Tjapjadoel’s sales over the year. Based on our sales data, the
total sales obtained by Tjapjadoel’s store have increased significantly each year along with
the development of the thrifting trend. This shows that the trend of thrifting has had an
effect on the increase of Tjapjadoel's sales.
