 ABOUT NUSRL

NUSRL has been established by an Act of the State

Legislature prompted by the vision of the
constitutional forefathers that the law, legal
system and legal institutions have an overarching
role for the human, social, political and economic
development of the nation. Law is one of the
social processes having the maximum filtering
capacity of societal processes is sinew for
healthier growth of democracy and constitutional
rule of law.

India in the 21st century and beyond having a rich

heritage of legal culture, thoughts and traditions
need to tread the path where the law has to act as
a catalyst in achieving the goals enshrined in the
Constitution as well as see India amid one in the
galaxy of a developed nation. For achieving these
goals enshrined in the Constitution and law being
an instrument in achieving these goals needs a
new perspective for its understanding,
dissemination and structural innovations.
Therefore, for the last two decades, a new
awakening of the thrust has been given to the
study of law and its constitution by establishing
National Law Universities. NUSRL obviously has
been crafted to develop a new and progressive
orientation towards legal studies, its institutions
and its relationship with other sciences.

Encapsulated in its objectives, the NUSRL is

established to develop a holistic perspective of
legal education in all its ramifications, particularly
advocacy, judicial and legal institutional services,
legislation, law reforms and all the research in
these areas. The social and political milieu at

 ABOUT CSRIPR

Centre for Study and Research in Intellectual

Property Right is one of the foremost centres of
excellence in the realm of Intellectual Property
Law in North India. This Centre was founded in
response to an escalating need felt by scientists,
lawyers, technologists and companies. The object
was, and still is, to gain a thoughtful knowledge in
patent, trademarks, design and copyright law. The
CSRIPR wishes to gain a better insight and glimpse
into new and evolving areas of intellectual
property law (such as the protection of software,
semi-conductor products and biotechnological
inventions, standardisation and technology
transfers) and the general problems of patents,
trademarks, designs and copyright.

To concertize these objects the CSRIPR will

organize a manifold of activities on an
interdisciplinary level. These activities include
fundamental research the gathering of
documentation, organizing conferences and
scientific service to the community. By virtue of
numerous activities conducted over the course of
time, CSRIPR has acquired an established
reputation on the national as well as on the
international level with students belonging to
premier national and international institution
joining us for an internship to gain perspective in
this realm.

After the successful completion of the first edition

of our internship during the month of February
2021 and in furtherance of our objective, CSRIPR
has completed multiple internship programmes

realm of IPR with any other stream integrated with
it for the furtherance of knowledge.
 ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
This internship will revolve around one month and
during the course of which students will be
required to research nuances of Intellectual
property law and other related fields in this realm.

Interns will be required to select a topic for their

case study on topics related to IPR before the
commencement of their internship. The nature of
the topic is required to have a socio-legal aspect of
IPR.

The selection criteria for the internship will consist

of two round:
1. CV selection
2. Interview

After the concerned student has been shortlisted

for the interview round, he/she is required to
appear before the panel with his/her topic in which
the applicant is interested. The panel will then
deliberate on whether or not the selected topic is
suitable for the internship. If found suitable the
intern will be required to continue with it otherwise
the topic shall be amended or the applicant shall
be assigned a topic during the course of the
interview itself.

P.S.: The topic submitted by the applicant should

belong to only one single domain out of the
aforementioned domains of Intellectual Property
Law. Applicants will not be allowed to choose
topics that belong to different domains.

The interns are to keep in mind that the topic

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants for this internship should be either pursuing their

Under Graduate or Post Graduate Legal studies in a
collge/University recognized by Bar Council of India or any other
institution of prominence within India or Abroad.

Interview Round: 20th December 2023 onwards

Release of names of selected Interns: 5th January 2024(Tentative)

Commencement of Internship: 1st February 2024

End of Internship: 29th February 2024

 PARTICULARS OF INTERNSHIP
During the course of the Internship, the interns will be
required to prepare 1 (one) well-researched article on the
topic or case laws assigned to them by the Centre.
Submission of the assigned work has to be made within the
specified deadlines. Delay in the submission of assigned
work will be taken note of by the Centre’s Administration.

The article should be an original work of the author and not

under consideration for publication in any other journal or
blog. Plagiarism beyond 10% shall not be accepted and the
concerned intern shall be directed to revise his task.
Submission guidelines for case summaries shall be provided
at the appropriate time during the internship.

The article to be prepared by interns will ideally belong in the

range of more than 5000 words. All submissions must be in
Times New Roman, font size 12, and with a line spacing 1.5.

No co-authorship is allowed.

All relevant sources shall be hyperlinked as far as possible. If

the concerned source cannot be hyperlinked, only then will
the intern be allowed to cite it as an endnote (no footnote).

The editorial board reserves the right to reject the submitted

work of the Intern if its finds that the assigned work has been
significantly plagiarized or is not up to the mark.

Once the article is published on CSRIPR Blog the same can

only be re-posted with due credits to CSRIPR Blog.

CSRIPR follows the one-strike system. In case of dereliction of

duty by interns, necessary written or oral notice of warning
will be issued to the concerned intern. From the second
instance of such dereliction of duty by the said intern, CSRIPR
CONTACT reserves the right to take appropriate action against the
intern.

In case any dispute arises during the course of the
internship, the dispute shall be raised before the CSRIPR
Head & the Centre reserves the right to deliberate and
decide upon the issue. The decision of the Centre shall be
final between the parties.
 OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES
There would be an Internship Coordinator who would be
responsible for processing applications and attending to all
issues related to this program.

The coordinator would be coordinating the entire

internship exercise, including networking and
communication with applicants, university authorities, and
other stakeholders.

Upon satisfactory completion of the internship,

appropriate certificates of the internship will be issued to
the candidates.

Termination of Internship(s) and resolution of disputes: The

Foundation shall have the right to appraise/review the
performance of interns and enforce timely completion of
various assignments.

It would be desired from the Interns to complete their

project activity satisfactorily in the stipulated time. The
Foundation shall have the right to cancel the internship
without any notice, in cases of indiscipline or undesirable
behavior on the part of the intern.

INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVE

The objective of this ‘Online Internship Programme’

conducted by the Centre for Study and Research in
Intellectual Property Law (CSRIPR) is to help the
participating students and scholars to further develop and
improve their research skills, and enhance their Knowledge
particularly in Intellectual Property Rights.

The internship is purely research-oriented and drafting-

centric. To provide thoughtful knowledge in patent,
trademark, design, and copyright law.

The selected candidates will be given opportunities to

participate in the activities of the Centre; interactive live
sessions would be conducted by industry experts.

Through our internship program, we aim to provide interns

with an insight into the world of intellectual property rights.

 DECLARATION

The student selected for this internship will be required

to sign a declaration requiring them to affirm that during
the course of their internship their conduct will be
professional in nature and will not in any manner indulge
in an act that is detrimental to the basic morality and
decency which we so cherish and uphold.

Interns are required to comply with the policies of

CSRIPR as applicable from time to time. These
policies may be notified to you verbally or in
writing at the commencement of the internship or
during your internship itself.

In the event of any misuse, or use without

integrity, of data shared by CSRIPR or any other
intern or member of CSRIPR or log in credential
shared with you or such other misconduct, CRISPR
reserves the right to take appropriate action under
applicable law.

Furthermore, the selected students for this

internship will be required to sign a declaration
stating that they will not leave the internship in
the midst without a week prior notice to that
effect.

Anyone leaving an internship in the midst will not

be issued any certificate for the duration of time
for which he/she worked under the capacity of
Intern at CSRIPR. In case the student leaves the
internship without prior notice, CSRIPR reserves
the right to inform your university or college
authority about your conduct.

If the administrative authority of CSRIPR finds that
