Lesson learning By the end of the lesson SWBAT:
objectives: -correctly use adjectives with prepositions in sentences.
-analyse sample sentences to identify the relationship between
adjectives and prepositions.

Motivation “Welcome, everyone! Today, we’re going to dive into the world of
adjectives and prepositions with a quick warm-up. I’ll start by writing
a noun on the board, and I want you to give me adjectives that pop
into your head. Let’s make it rapid and fun!

Now, pick one of those adjectives. Can you think of prepositions that
go with it? Let’s connect these words to make interesting and
descriptive phrases.

Finally, we’ll put it all together. I’ll create a sentence on the board
using the chosen adjective and preposition. Your challenge is to create
10 min your sentences using the same words. Quick and creative thinking,
let’s go!”
Information
Unfortunately, there is no rule to tell you which preposition goes with
which adjective. So when you learn a new adjective, it’s a good idea
to learn the preposition that goes with it and write the “collocation” or
combination down in your vocabulary notebook

Practice Controlled practice


The student read the article. Do you think the son was addicted to
playing video games? Then underline adjectives in exercise 3.
Semi-controlled practice
In exercise 5 circle the correct prepositions to go with these adjectives.
Then try to create your sentences.

Complete the texts with the correct prepositions. All of the adjectives
15 min. in exercise 2-5.
Application Work in pairs. Tell your partner about something that you are or have
10 min been.
Home work "Descriptive Writing"

Select a picture or image (it could be related to a place, person, or


thing) that interests you. This can be from a magazine, the internet, or
a personal photo.

Use at least five adjectives and three prepositions to create a


descriptive paragraph about the picture. Describe the scene, capturing
details that stand out to you.
