THEME : EFFECT OF MYCORRHIZAL FUNGUI ASSOCIATED WITH ORGANO-MINERAL

FERTILISATION ON YIELD, SHELF LIFE AND ORGANOLEPTIC PROPERTIES OF
STRAWBERRY (fragaria annanassa) IN WEST CAMEROON

This study aims at determining the effects of mycorrhizal fungui with organo-
mineral fertilisation on yield, shelf life and organoleptic properties of strawberry
(fragaria annanasa), and its importance both economically and the nutritional
habit of population. Studies carried out revealed that analyses made at the local
level in the cultivation of stawberry with mineral fertilisers have an impact on
the shelf life and organoleptic properties. This shows the importance of
associating mycorrhizal fungui and organo mineral fertilizers on strawberry
cultivation which might bring an improvement on the shelf live and increase the
organoleptic properties. This experiment was carried out in the locality of
Dschang foto. The experimental design used was a randomised complete block
arranged in a split-plot with three replicates and two factors. The first factor was
variety (Charlote and camarosa) and the second, the fertilisation T1=control,
T2=OMF (740 Kg/ha), T3=mycorhizal (10g/plant). T4=mycorrhizal+50%
OMF(370K g/ha),T5=mycorrhizal+25% OMF(185Kg/ha),T6=poultry manureat
normal doses(9.2 tons/ha) and T7=mycorrhizal+50% Poultry manure(4.6
ton/ha).In other to evaluate the growth and yield of the plants, parameters that
is ; number of leaves, height of plant, diameter of the collet ,number of fruits per
panicule, number of panicule, weight of the panicule were collected throughout
the experiment.After introduction of results into excel 2016, datas collected,
were treated with ANOVA (variance analyses) a method at a significant level of
5% thanks to the constat release 9.2. After analyses, it came out that mineral
fertilisation (14 23 14) or poultry manure associated with mircorhizal gave a
significant economic importance compared with single treatment of mircohizal
mineral fertilizer or poultry manure only. Therefore the treatment that could be
recommanded to farmers will be 50% poultry manure (4,6 ton/ha) associated
with myrcorrhizal.
