“DEMONSTRATIVE SCRIPT AND OUTLINE SPEECH”


Introduction:

Attention Getter: Good day everyone! Have you heard of Microsoft Excel? If not, it enables
users to identify trends and organize and sort data into meaningful categories.

Purpose Statement: I am here today, to demonstrate to you all how excel works align with the
attendance sheet check box. Many of us lack knowledge using excel so it gives some
techniques to do. So that everyone will try to create works with Microsoft excel.

Preview of main point: These attendance sheets with check boxes show the steps and
material provided. We will learn about the excel attendance sheet making. And I will be sharing
some basic uses of excel. I will first go over the materials/ steps and then cover each of them of
the 18 steps.

Transition: So, what we will wait for, let's proceed with teaching and tutorial. And prepare what
materials are needed for this sharing and learning in excel.

Body:
A.Gathering material:

1. Microsoft excel
2. Cell Phone or gadgets that have microsoft excel

Transition: Now that we have reviewed the necessary materials made in excel, let me cover the
necessary steps in this process.

B. Steps:

Transition: Let me demonstrate the 18 steps of making an attendance sheet with a check box
in Microsoft excel.

1. Open Microsoft Excel, create a box for the title, student number,name, days, total days,
total present, and total absence.
2. In the first column type the student number and drag to auto paste the number. Next in
column two the name, type a given name.
3. Change the color of the title to highlights. After that click the “all borders”
4. Drag the box that indicates the days from Monday to Sunday to change color.
5. Click the “view” and the “gridlines”.
6. Open the file, click the “option”and custom ribbon and click “developer”.
7. After clicking developer, go to the insert tab and click “check box”.
8. Paste it in the days provided, drag it to monday to saturday to have a check box.
9. Right click the check box, click the format control, type the cell link and click okay.
10. Repeat the process of no. 9 to fill out all the check boxes provided.
11. Try to click the check box if it's working or not.
12. In total days box type “=counta” drag the days to equalize.
13. Drag the total days and enter to show shortcut mode of the equal days.
14. Repeat the process in no.13 into total present to equalize the day of present.
15. After equalizing the total present, drag it and click “conditional formatting” to highlight cell
rules and text that contains.
16. Set the highlight cell into “green fill with dark green text”. So that it changed the total
present into green color to highlight the number of complete days of the present student.
17. In total absence repeat the process of the total present by clicking the “conditional
formatting” to highlight cell rules and text that contains.
18. Set the highlight cell into “light red fill with dark red text”. Just like in the total present it
will change the color to highlight the student with a red mark of no absences.

C. Demonstrate: Demonstrate the 18 steps.

In a video tutorial we learned the basic uses of excel to create a simple attendance
sheet with a checkbox that may be used in different worksheets using the materials with 18 easy
steps provided.
