“Kilos kalikapa” Understanding disaster risk reduction management

The webinar is entitled “KILOS KALIKAPA" UNDERSTANDING DISASTER RISK REDUCTION MANAGEMENT”
the webinar is all about giving us awareness and to increase our understanding of the concepts and skills
related to disaster risk reduction management. They tackle the correct concepts and procedures to
follow before, during, and after hazards arising in our communities. As they introduced the guest
speaker, he is a graduate and licensed nurse as well as license physical therapies. He is also working at
the Department of Health CHD CALABARZON. He is formerly a part of expanded program of
immunization surveillance office. He discuss how important for us to know and to encourage everyone
to learn natural disaster reduction so that it will help every community and so that we can establish a
resilient nation.

They discuss as well the types of hazards and the fundamentals of disaster risk reduction. In this
webinar, I could sense the importance of it to our subject because it talks about natural disasters and
hazard related. The importance of this webinar to our subject is to earn more knowledge to what we
know from the NSTP subject. By participating in this kind of activity we could learn more and understand
more about disaster risk reduction management. Our subject and this webinar is so much related to
each other because they have similarities and have one goal and reason as they teach this kind of topic.
They ought to give awareness and to increase everyone’s knowledge related to disaster risk reduction.
The key learning from the webinar is it tries to provide an efficient and well-coordinated response to
disasters; disaster management is significant. Disaster management is essential to providing prompt and
effective aid to those affected by disasters through efforts to save lives and lessen the effects of crises
on affected communities.

We should participate more in this kind of activities and we should learn more about NSTP to enhance
our capabilities to have management on natural calamities and disasters. All people have capacity to do
these things so that our communities is be more resilient and disaster ready.
