In part, @ variety of composite alloys nave different characteristics which depend on the proportion of silver. Generally, the alloys contain a high proportion of silver wil ower the metting temperature: they become whiter which unlike the bras color. The fiuid property of the alloy will also be improved during soldering process. Tin is used in silver soldering alloys for the same purpose of using cadmium. Mixture of tin with silver, copper, and zinc alloy can lower the melting temperature, and improve the fluid characteristic when applied to ferrous metals. The cadmium free silver brazing alloys are environmental product which comply with the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic ‘equipment (RoHS). Both Cad-free and Cad bearing alloys can be used. 2, Silver alloys with Nickel or Manganese can solve the difficulty of brazing on Tungsten carbides. 3. Silver alloy has the characteristics of low melting point and good fluidity, which can apply to weld on the small Tungsten carbides - Silver containment of 35%, 42%, 45%, 50%, and 56%. 4, Nickel and manganese containing alloys for thickar joints on medium size of Tungsten carbides. 5, Trifoil procucts with nickel & manganese containing for brazing large size of Tungsten carbides onto steel, such as Cl-4900L. 6. Trifoil alloys can help to absorb and relieve the internal stresses caused by the different coefficient of expansion, which exists between the tungsten carbide and the base material, thus to prevent cracking, G/B REAMERISEE RTE A/S H OTE + ieee H BCTEL ABZ» 8] LLANE TOE SEEM CLARION) ARREST « MARTI - 42% - 45% - 50% - SOW - 2K - TRESS RY DARRARRNREAME - SRERUE HMOCH4900L - RIOT ABE 2 aR HE - 1 2 3 4 5 6 Rony Esto Application 1562 | 56 nS ‘Low meting point cc.s02Ni | 50 Na Wetting on Tungsten carbide. 15009 | 50 Nis Wetting on Tungsten carbide. c14900H| 49 Ma7.SINi 5 Wetting on Tungsten carbide. 4900. | 49 Mn2.SiNiO.5 “Tifa for brazing lager Tungsten carbides. cizr00H| 27 Mn9.5IN6.5 ame eed COPPER PHOSPHORUS BRAZING ALLOYS Description: The compound with high proportion of phosphorus will result in a more active an d fluid alloy which can flaw over a larger area. The alloy usually has 2 smaller melting range and best used on filler joint. Higher proportion of silver alloy will result in a fluid which is easier to be controlled by operators. The silver alloy with less phosphorus may have a melting range which suitable for filing gaps. Generally, higher silver content alloy can bear hotter or longer heating cycle. Moreover, the resulted joints have better ductility.
