Premedication - a day before surgery & dictate time to stop food and water before surgery - we dont NEED to gove Anxiolytics, it is not routine. Only in high stress Or SO. . Preoxygenation - to have 8 minutes of apnea. . Induction - give IV drugs to sedate or even inhaled drugs. . Eyelash reflex - confirm anasthesia. . Intubate - patient. . Vaporiser - inhaled anasthesia. . TIVA- Total lV anasthesia.(without Vaporisers) Extubate - remove intubation. 10. NRS - Pain scale felt by patient. CO2 - causes sedation as well! Used for animals anasthesia. Inhaled anasthetics - N20, Sevo/ Desoflurane. IV anasthetics - Ethomidate, ketamine, Propofol, Analgesia - Ketamine, N20, NSAIDs, Acetaminophen, Opiods. Areflexia - NMBA, Regional ansthesia, Deep anasthesia decreases reflexes as well itself. Surgical Pleth index (SPI) - measures Vasoconstriction in hands when Autonomic system is stimulated due to pain. TOF (Train of Four) - stimulation, To see if the Pollicis finger is contracting or not. Diaphragm - 7st muscle trying to move after analgesia!!
