1. Elicit
The teacher will ask the students about the learning they gained from the previous
lesson.

2. Engage
The teacher will play a video about an airline landing announcement. After which,
students will answer the given questions below.

1. How does the tone of voice in landing announcements impact


passenger emotions and reactions?
2. In what ways does the use of formal or informal language in landing
announcements impact passenger perception?
3. Why is clear and concise diction important in landing announcements?

3. Explore
The student will construct and perform their own version of an airline landing
announcement
4. Explain
The teacher together with the students will discuss the meaning of diction and some
basic tips to help one apply the words and phrases effectively in writing.

After which, student will answer the given activity below.

In literature, authors often pay careful attention to diction to create
a specific atmosphere, evoke emotions, or convey a particular character's
personality.
The following are some basic tips to help one apply the words and
phrases effectively in writing.
