MhGAP

The Mental Health Gap action program (MhGAP) strives to

expand access to services for countries, particularly those with poor
and middle incomes, that suffer from mental, neurological, and
substance use illnesses. The video mainly tackles the MhGAP’s
workings in the far towns of rural areas that carry cases of
Epilepsy.

Living in the Philippines is fun and all but when it comes to

conversations that include all factors of health there is really a
downside. This is a prominent issue, especially in Third world
countries. That is why whenever I watch or hear about stories
wherein the less fortunate struggle with health it can truly make me
think about the future, and the question “will it all get better?”
comes to mind, because I don’t want to grow old or raise my future
children in a world where healthcare is for a price only rich people
can afford.

So, when I saw how happy those people were because of the
awareness, prevention, treatment, and health education that they
were getting, it opened my eyes to the endless possibilities
concerning our healthcare system. The world can be a better place
after all, with the continuous help of the MhGAP.
