Practical operation manual

Prepare the equipment

Take out the resuscitator and remove the plastic
bag. Leave the cylinder in the bag.
Open the valve on the oxygen cylinder.
Ensure that the regulator is securely mounted on
the valve of the cylinder and is not leaking.
The oxygen will now fill the reservoir bag.
Check the setting on the pressure regulator.
It should be set at 15 l/min.

Applications
The resuscitator is primarily ment to be used by a trained operator!

Take hold of the patient’s chin by
your left hand and lean the head
somewhat backwards.

and index finger.
Ventilate the patient by
rhythmically compressing the
ventilation bag for respiration.
A patient who breathes
spontaneously may use the
resuscitator for inhalation of
supplimental oxygen.

Head harness
For prolonged use, the mask can be strapped to the
face by use of a head harness. Mount the head
harness to the resuscitator by removing the mask
from the tube, insert the tube through the head
harness and then put the tube back to the mask.
Tighten enough to get a tight seal between face and
mask.

After use
Close the valve on the oxygen cylinder. 0 bar
Check the manometer. The pressure should go to 0 bar.
Follow the instructions on the separate sheet ”Service instructions”.
