Hi Raghu,

USNA880 is our Master data management production server, which hosts the following :
1. IBM Infosphere Master data management Collaboration Server.
2. IBM Websphere Server
3. JAVA 1.7
4. Perl
5. IBM DB2 Client

Please take filesystem and snapshot backup before hand and DBA will take offline database backup before the activity. It usually takes around 1 hr.

Please send me detailed plain with steps and timeline so that I can circle that to the DBA. He is in MST time zone and can come online at 7:30 PM IST. Therefore please plan to
perform the upgrade from night 8:30 PM IST onwards. Please let me know if you have any concern.

Hi Raghunath,

We have recently been informed that, our DB2 support personal has accepted offer from another company and 7th July is his last working day.
Meanwhile, we have started working/onboarding new DBA who would likely require some more time to get accustomed with Watts MDM databases.

As the following activity also involves DBA for DB backup, may you kindly postpone the trailing production OS patching to some later date? How about 7/15 or 7/22?
