EXISTING CONDITIONS

 Emilio Aguinaldo Park


is located at Happy
Glen
Loop Baguio City,
Philippines. It has a
total land area of 29.51
hectares.

 Situated IN THE CBD, with


access to prime commercial,
institutional, real estates and
residential areas.

 Inside the park can be seen


the 2 story building of the
Aguinaldo Museum, the
monument of Emilio
Aguinaldo while riding a pony,
an open basketball court and
the children's playground.

 Most parts of the site are


overgrown with different
types and species of trees and
plants making it more visible
because it is only the green
part in the neighboring area.

SUMMARY OF ISSUES

 The park is filled with unwanted weeds and plants.


 The whole park is surrounded by fences so it doesn't seem like it's open to people.
 Dog feces are widely scattered across the park.
 There are many bystanders in the park especially at night.
 There are no activities offered and there is not much to see except the monument and museum.
 The site serves as a conduit for water coming from neighboring communities.
 The playground is always closed.
 Residents/locals utilizes the basketball court as their parking space.
 The park is not child friendly.
 The park is not safe especially during night time because of lack of lighting elements.
 Lack of regular maintenance to beautify the park.
