Introduction

Independent and separate company IN 1937.

Although the founding family’s name was written in 1937.In the Kanji (rendered as “Toyoda”)

The history of Toyota started in 1933 with the company being a division of Toyoda Automatic
Loom Works devoted to the production of cars under the direction of the founder Sakichi
Toyoda’s son, Kiichiro Toyoda. Kiichiro Toyoda traveled to Europe and the United States in
1929 to investigate automobile production and had begun researching gasoline-powered engines
and in 1930 the Toyota Motor Co was established.

After some years, this time with Shoichiroo Toyoda Kiichiro’s eldest son implemented the
Total Quality Control which lead to the transformation of Toyota into a Global Company the
Toyota Company was awarded the Deming Application Prize for Total Quality management.

By 2009Toyota had grown into the world’s largest automotive manufacturer and the rights were
handed to the grandson of the founder Aakio Toyoda who took charge during the company’s on
of the challenging periods.

It was established in1997 in Bidadi, Karnataka and to increase more production of vehicles a
new plant was established not far from the other one in 2010
In one unit the production is 100000 units and in other 210000 units are produced

Toyota Motor Corporation entered India in 1997 in a joint venture with the Kirloskar Group.
Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) holds 89% of the share and the remaining 11% is owned by
Kirloskar Group.

Popular group started its journey in 1934, from then they have made relations with many
dealers till today’s Lexus dealers.
Popular group operates in various sectors of the automobile industry like passenger cars, 2
wheelers and earth moving and construction equipments.

Used Car divisions like ‘U Trust’ for Toyota & ‘H Promise’ for Hyundai Used Car and IT
divisions spread in South India all bear in the distinctive Popular seal.
The Group is solely promoted and headed by Mr. Saju K. Thomas.
Nandi Toyota
Nandi Toyota is a group of Popular Automobiles owned by Mr. Sanju K Thomas. In the year
1939, Mr. K. P. Paul started his business career with Popular Washing Home. He dared the
tradition and started reaping success in six months. This venture brought forth his daring nature
that remained the backbone of his life and business in the years to come. He was a born leader
and believed in employee empowerment and satisfaction. He had motivated employees who
delivered impeccable customer service
The history of Nandi Toyota dates back to 2000 when the Nandi Group acquired the dealership
rights for Toyota cars in Bangalore.
Nandi Toyota has also won several awards and accolades for its excellent sales and after-sales
service. In 2019, it was awarded the "Best Dealer in Sales" and "Best Dealer in Customer
Satisfaction" by Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian subsidiary of Toyota.
The dealership offers a wide range of Toyota cars, including popular models such as the Innova,
Fortuner, Camry, Corolla, Etios, Yaris, Qualis, Urban Cruiser..etc

• Perform AWACS check with customer.
• Know customer problems.
• Explain what part to be replaced and why.
• Contact customer and get Authorization for additional work after work started.
• Provide accurate service cost and delivery time.

SERVICE ENGINEER
Qualifications:
 Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile).
 Good English Communication Skills and Local Language Kannada is Mandatory.
 Experienced in a management role or similar.
 Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Help Managers Complete Daily tasks.
 Participate in company strategic planning.

TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
 ITI(MMV\NCVT) Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engg.
 Minimum basic knowledge of vehicle mechanisms and systems, with an increase
in knowledge throughout each year of the apprenticeship scheme.
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Fix it right at the first time.
 Use all protective equipment to maintain cleanliness of customer car.
 Ensure all customer request repair are completed with high quality standard.
 Request chief technician to carry out final inspection after work completed.
 Keep work area clean at all times.
 Carry out 4s.

HISTORY OF HYBRID

SATOSHI OGISO was the man come up with a plan of Hybrid electric vehicle .

He started a project G21 (G=global,21=21century).

In 1995 he tried with two motors and driven 500 meters and stopped. Faced problems
with NIMH battery and solved.

Planned to launched in COP3 conference, held in Kyoto Japan in December 1997.

The first hybrid vehicle was Prius launched in 1997 with 28KMPL.

HYBRID VEHICLE

 A hybrid vehicle is one that uses two distinct types of power, such as
petrol and
