different photo Editing tools.

This book cover is intended for Year 9 students to develop clear understanding of Photo Editing tools and connect it to
global context.

For creating my book cover, I will be using Photopea, an online image editing software. I will be using version
5.4, released on the 22nd of November. Photopea is a great choice of software for this task because it is quite
similar to more high-end software like Adobe Photoshop. It offers a large range of image editing and design
features. With Photopea, I can efficiently manipulate images, apply text, and experiment with different design
elements.

The materials I'll use include high-quality pictures or illustrations, colors that align with the book's theme, and
a blurb. The images/graphics should align with the theme of the book because the book has lots of sea/ocean
elements in the story itself. Involving elements of the story onto the cover allows for the customers to
understand what the book will be about. There must be high-quality pictures and illustrations which will affect
the overall quality and professionalism of the book.

Equally essential is the blurb or summary. This concise yet engaging text is a vital component of the
book cover. It must encapsulate the essence of the story, leaving potential readers intrigued and eager
to explore the book further. The choice of fonts, text size, and placement are key design elements that
Photopea allows you to control, ensuring that the blurb seamlessly integrates into the overall design.

Additionally, colors play a pivotal role. The color palette should align with the book's theme, and
Photopea's color manipulation tools will aid in achieving the desired mood and aesthetics. These colors
should evoke the emotions and atmosphere of the story, enticing readers to pick up the book.

I will make sure to use as many tools as possible to make sure that my book cover will have as many
compelling elements as possible. For example, the gradient, the magic wand, etc.
