The BMW Assist system in your new vehicle may have a malfunction. Until this
system is repaired at your BMW center, the BMW Assist services, consisting of
location-based Automatic Collision Notification, Emergency Assistance and
Enhanced Roadside Assistance, may not be available for your use below a
temperature of 320F.
Please contact your authorized BMW center to make an appointment to have this
system inspected, and repaired if required. This will take approximately two hours
to perform, and will be free of charge. Additional time may be required, depending
on the BMW center’s scheduling. . To obtain BMW Assist services, it is necessary
to complete a subscriber agreement (if you have not already done so) with your
client advisor.
If you own a cellular phone, we suggest that during this interim period of possible
BMW Assist service unavailability, you program “911” (or your locally recognized
Emergency phone number) and BMW Roadside Assistance, (800) 332-4269 into
your phone.
