Introduction
1. Embraer has placed a contract for the development of a modified BR10LY seat
to introduce an OBOGS oxygen system and interfaces with a HMD system as
described in Specification A1MDSP005 Rev D and SOW A1MSOW004 Rev D.
Modification Instructions
4. Note MOD-ES7370 and MOD-SE255 are applicable to all seats both in the
single and twin seat aircraft configuration while MOD-ES7097 is applicable to
seats in the single seat aircraft only because the twin seat aircraft already had
this modification embodied when they were first manufactured.
5. Parts required for the modifications are listed in Section 5 of each modification
and have been supplied to Embraer under their purchase orders 900691372
900691826 and 900691842.
6. Some materials are listed as required for the modification operations, which are
all common engineering materials, also used in seat maintenance. If Embraer
cannot source these materials they may be obtained from Martin-Baker.

7. Two Drill Plates are called up in the Modification Instructions. These have been
ordered on Embraer PO 900747074 and will be sent to Embraer in March. The
Drill Plates must be retained by Embraer as they will be required to be used on
all the modification kits sent for production seat modifications.
Conclusion
9. It is understood that these seats will be in flightworthy condition and will have
been serviced, inspected and tested in accordance with the current seat
technical manuals.
10. If Embraer have any difficulty with the modifications Martin-Baker should be
advised immediately.
