Christmas Tree Ornament

A quick and easy project for your holiday decorating.

SIZE : 2.5 inches wide and 4 inches tall.


MATERIALS: 2 skeins (4 oz, 550 yards each) Expression Fiber Arts
Pearlescent Fingering Yarn. Shown in colorways: All Seasons Green
and Eggshell. If these colorways aren't available, any shades from
this category will work.
HOOK: US Size F (3.75 mm)
OTHER TOOLS: Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
GAUGE: 28 dc / 4 inches
ABBREVIATIONS: Beg: Beginning, Ch: Chain, Dc: Double Crochet, Ea:
Each, Prev: Previous, Rep: Repeat, RS: Right Side, St(s): Stitch(es),
WS: Wrong Side
PATTERN NOTES:
• Gauge is not crucial to this project, however, it will affect yardage
and size.
• Each Christmas Tree uses approximately 8 yds of Green (Color A)
and 2 yds of Cream (Color B).
• To make the ties, begin with a long tail and leave a long tail when you fasten off the green. Weave the
bottom tail through the WS of the tree to the top.

LET’S BEGIN!
With Color A, Ch 4
•Row 1: (RS) Dc in the 2nd ch worked (unworked chs count as dc). Turn. (2 dc)
•Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in first dc at base of ch 3, 2 dc in top of unworked chs of prev row. Turn. (4
dc)
•Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in first dc at base of ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in top of beg ch of prev row.
Turn. (6 dc)
•Row 4: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in first dc at base of ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in top of beg ch of prev row.
Turn. (8 dc)
•Row 5: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in first dc at base of ch 3, dc in next 6 dc, 2 dc in top of beg ch of prev row.
Turn. (10 dc)
•Row 6: Ch 3 (counts as dc), sk first dc, dc in ea dc across. Turn. (10 dc)
•Row 7: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in first dc at base of ch 3, dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in top of beg ch of prev row.
Turn. (12 dc)
•Row 8: Ch 3 (counts as dc), sk first dc, dc in ea dc across. Turn. (12 dc)
•Row 9: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in first dc at base of ch 3, dc in next 10 dc, 2 dc in top of beg ch of prev row.
Turn. (14 dc)
•Row 10: Ch 3 (counts as dc), sk first dc, dc in ea dc across. Turn. (14 dc)
Fasten off leaving a long tail to weave through the WS to the top to become the tie.
Trunk of tree
Attach Color B to the 6th dc from the end on the WS of the tree.
•Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 3 dc. Turn. (4 dc)
•Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 3 dc. (4dc)
Fasten Off

FINISHING: Weave in your tails using a tapestry needle going through the wrong side. Soak your tree for 20
minutes in lukewarm water, press out the excess moisture with a towel and lay your bell flat. Pin into shape.
