EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION MISS SIETENMA CHIOMA OKAFOR
ON 31ST OF DECEMBER, 2023

The President General,

The Local Government Secretary,
The Chairman, Technical Committee,
All the limited guests,
The Speakers,
The Press,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are delighted and elated by your awesome presence. You

compromised your activities to make today become a reality. Indeed, it’s
a loving and glorious moment in the anal of this occasion and it shall
forever remain fresh in our minds.

This Foundation was initiated by Grand Thompson Chikezie in 2015 with

the aim of bringing pupils and students together so as to help
create/promote strong academic foundation in them. As it’s essential to
know that education is the key and weapon of change. However, the
programme which usually takes place on the 31 st of December, every
year was regrettably stopped because of the outbreak of the dreaded
Covid-19 and its attendant consequences. Nevertheless, Today is a
brand new day in our sojourn to impact positive knowledge and we are
grateful to God that He didn't allow our dream to die off and at the
same time professing that nothing will again ever ambush our joy and
happiness as the Foundation has come to stay.

Principally, the Foundation has in various capacities nominated some

illustrious Igbariam indigenes for awards of excellence and scholarships.
We are proud to mention these few individuals,to wit: Johnbosco
Obidigwe, Kelechi Magbakor, Keghike Nebolisa and Chibuzor Nnebuife to
mention but a few. Based on these pleased points, we are further
committed to further positive growth and development of our young
ones.
We are confidently promising our community and her people at large
that the Foundation shall remain steadfast in promoting Education in all
spheres. Be fully aware that the Youth or children are our future hope.
Therefore,our little and humble commitments in raising them should not
be neglected or toyed with. Simple economics teaches us that no
amount is too small to start a business. Most big projects start small.
Thus, it is only in starting that you can discover and harness the
potential in a popular person.

Ladies and gentlemen, in order to add more weight and substance to

our objective of ensuring quality education for all, we have in the pipe
line, a health awareness scheme which we intend to showcase during
Easter celebration and Youths Care programmes during “Onwa Ito”
festival. The Foundation is bent on improving lives and will surely live to
maintain that purpose.

Furthermore, in view of the current economic downturn, we implore you

all to embrace the idea of investing in human development, more
particularly that of the growing youths. This could be done by offering
scholarships to indigent youths , sponsoring their vocational and
technical trainings that will give them financial independence and
thereby making them confident citizens. Above all, it will also help them
to eschew stealing, drug addiction, prostitution, yahoo yahoo business
and and other social vices bedeviling the youths of today. Based on this
perception, human development remains the only legacy one might
bequeath the youths and the society at large.

Once more, we graciously and immensely thank everyone that

contributed in one way or the other in making sure that today becomes
a reality. We are equally calling on the good spirited ones here to kindly
make impacts for the laudable promotion and continuous existence of
this Foundation.

It’s imperative to wish you Happy New Year. Everything about you and
your family shall remain new and fresh like morning dews.
