Re: Proposed Development - ‘Mt Maria College’ Master Plan Infrastructure Designation

Please be advised the Mt Maria College is proposing to submit a request for a Ministerial Infrastructure
Designation (MID), under the Planning Act 2016, over four land parcels at:

• 67 Osborne Rd Mitchelton 4053;

• 69 Osborne Rd Mitchelton 4053;
• 48 Prospect Rd Mitchelton 4053, and
• 54a Prospect Rd Mitchelton 4053.

The proposal involves:

• An architectural master plan to roll out the staged construction of new education and general learning
facilities over 10-15 years
• An increase in students from 1,089 to 1,200, and staff from 120 to 150
• Potential refurbishment of several existing buildings.

The Land Use Designation Plan (see figure below) captures the existing and potential proposed development.
The plan includes the identification of envelopes for new works (noting building heights) mainly to be
accommodated by new buildings, as well as linework identifying existing buildings/structures that would need
to be demolished to accommodate the improvements. Additional detail, by way of a notated “max RL height” is
also indicated on the envelope for the potential chapel building “M” as this will be more sensitive to potential
impacts on local heritage.

Your input is valuable to us and we would appreciate your feedback.

Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) is seeking community input about the proposal now to ensure any relevant
matters are taken into consideration prior to finalising the proposal and requesting a MID. The current stage of
the proposal along the MID Approval Pathway is shown on the following page.

• Please submit before 25th February, 2022.

Stakeholders will be afforded an opportunity to make a submission on the detailed proposal through the
formal consultation stage, should the proposal progress through the MID process.
