1. How is needs assessment done in communication? What is the key to finding out what the
audience needs? (3 POINTS)

The needs assessment is done in communication by identifying the purpose of the


communication. It includes the five essential elements of the sender, receiver, the message, the
medium, and the interpretation of the message. The key in finding out what the audience needs
is knowing their preference in communication and their style or way of communicating.

2. Why is it important to conduct needs assessment in communication? .(3 POINTS)

It is important to conduct needs assessment in communication to make the communication


effective. Not all of people have the same level or way of communicating, we might
misunderstand their message if we did not conduct needs assessment in communication. It benefits
both parties, the receiver and the sender. By conducting assessment, we could communicate our
messages in a way the receiver fully understands.

3. How is effective communication measured? (3 POINTS)

Effective communication is measured by how the message is successfully


transmitted or understood by both sides. It should be properly shared and decoded by the
sender and receiver. It won’t be effective if the communication lacked organization of
thoughts and if the message is composed of words that the receiver cannot understand.

4. Describe the process of monitoring and evaluating communication. (3 POINTS)

The process of monitoring and evaluating communication include the variable of causes
and the variables of effects. The variable of causes is about something that will happen or doing
something to make it happen. The variables of effects are for the results which is needed for the
evaluation. The monitoring of communication is dependent on the causes and the results will be
evaluated afterwards.

in promoting communication in the country. How has it contributed to facilitating
communication in the Philippine society? (10 POINTS

The National telecommunications commission (NTC) is responsible of the control


of the country’s communication. The control the telecommunications, broadcast, and
services. They give approval to the gadgets that is marketed here in the Philippines. They
ensure that the communication services here in the Philippines are safe and accessible by
everyone who uses it.

NTC contributed facilitating communications here in the Philippines as they create


protocols and standards to protect the consumers, and to keep up with the growing
technology here in our country. They aim to have an efficient and reliable communication
service in the whole country. If there is a problem of a communication breach while using
NTC approved communication services, they would be able to do something about it if we
create a report.

The National Telecommunications Commission here in the Philippines is essential


for communication services are such a big part of Filipinos lives. As they share
information, their privacy and trust are entrusted to those communication or
telecommunication services they use. That’s where the role of NTC came into the picture,
to take action if there is any illegal things that could endanger the Filipinos.
