5.1.1 Delete Tool Path From the Specified Part
[Part Edit]-[Delete Tooling]-[Selected Item]
1. Click [Part Edit], [Delete Tooling], and [Selected Item].
Operation
2. Select the tooling to delete. (Dragging mouse and make
window or click one by one)
● When [Confirm Continous Addition] on system tab of Condition Setup
Tips condition is selected, any number of tooling can be selected by clicking
each path continuously. If [Confirm Continous Addition] is not selected,
any number of process paths can be selected by clicking each path
continuously while holding the Shift key.

3. Press the Delete key. Or click the right mouse button and
click [Cancel].
# [Modify Definition] can also be used for deleting tools.
Note # To delete a punch pierce for compound processing (Punching
machine + laser machine), selecting laser cutting does not
include punch pierce automatically. To delete both laser and
punch pierce, select punches separately.

5.1.2 Delete All The Tooling


[Part Edit]-[Delete Tooling]-[Entire Part]
1. Click [Part Edit], [Delete], and [Entire Part].

Move or copy the tool path in the same orientation. Edit

There are three functions of Move/Copy.
! Moving and copying tool path

! Rotating tools/parts to move or copy.

! Mirroring tools/parts to move or copy.

[Modify Definition] can also be used for deleting tools.


Note
The operation of this function is as bellow:
1. Click [Part Edit] and [Modify Definition].
2. Select the target tool path.
3. Click the right mouse button and select the part editing command.
(Move/Copy, Rotate Move/Copy, Mirror Move/Copy, Delete)
See the procedure for each command for more information on
operations in dialog boxes after this step.
5.2.1 Move and Copy Tooling
[Part Edit]-[Move/Copy]
Move or copy the tooling.
With [Drawing to be followed] checked, the selected CAD
geometries can be moved and copied with tools at the same time.
1. Click [Part Edit] and [Move/Copy].
Operation
2. In the [Move/Copy] dialog box, select either [Move] or
[Copy]. Enter the quantity for copying. To move or copy
CAD geometries together, check the [Drawing to be followed]
check box ( ).

6. Move the mouse to specify the destination, and then click


position to specify. Or enter the rotation angle and press the

5.2.3 Mirror Tools/Parts To Move or Copy
[Part Edit]-[Mirror Move/Copy]
Mirror tools/parts to move or copy by using the X-axis (horizontal 5
line) or Y-axis (vertical line).

Tips
● To inrret bending lines, check the [Invert Bending Line] check box ( ).

3. Select the tooling to move or copy on the drawing (Dragging


mouse and make window or click one by one).

● The tooling is flipped relative to the X-axis or Y-axis, which passes
through the reference point. The tooling can be flipped or copied while

Changing tools one by one (individual specification)

1. Select tool from [Replace Current Tooling] dialog box.

3. In the [Change Tooling] dialog box, click the left button for
holes or click the right button for lines (Shear proof).
● When the current tool is AI and [Single-Hit] is selected, enter the C axis
value and press the Enter key.
Tips
● When the current tool is AI and the targat is AI, set the [Change
conversion source C-axis] check box to on ( ) for reassignment with
the C-axis value of the conversion source.

Changing the single hit tools in batch (in-frame specification)

1. Determine which tool to change and set the tool to the


current tool.

3. In [In-Frame Instruction] in the [Change Tooling] dialog box,
click the left button.
● When the current tool is AI and [Single-Hit] is selected, enter the C axis
value and press the Enter key.
Tips
● When the current tool is AI and the targat is AI, set the [Change
conversion source C-axis] check box to on ( ) for reassignment with
the C-axis value of the conversion source.

2. Click the tooling to change processing direction (As many
paths as needed can be changed continousely).
● When same tool is selected twice, the processing direction returns to the
original direction.
Tips
● When the tooling is GRID, if clicking it, the reference point of processing
and processing direction turn clockwise.

3. When all the changes are made, click the right mouse button
and click [Cancel].

5.5 Change Nibbling Pitch

Operation 2. Select the tooling to change its processing pitch (Multiple
selections can be made).
● When [Confirm Continous Addition] on system tab of Condition Setup
Tips condition is selected, any number of tooling can be selected by clicking
each path continuously. If [Confirm Continous Addition] is not selected,
any number of process paths can be selected by clicking each path
continuously while holding the Shift key.

3. Enter the processing pitch in the [Process Pitch Change]


dialog box, and click [Apply].
● When entering a value exceeding the maximum nibbling pitch of the
machine in step 3, G68 and G69 are changed to G78 and G79. The pitch

cannot be changed to the one which is longer than the processing length
of the tooling.

5.6 Shift

When a tooling encroaches on a part or tooling interfere each other Edit

and a double hit of the tool occurs, shift the tooling. Assigned

2. Select one tooling to shift its position.
● The paths that can be shifted are G90, G29, G66, G68, G69, G78, G79,
G28, G36, and G37.
● Single-hit wth following tools, this operation cannot be performed.
Center punch, tapping, burring, or marking
● When the tool is a single-hit with round tool and the arc diameter of the
assigned geometry is same size as tool diameter, this operation cannot be
performed.
● The direction of shifingt for following tools is changed depending on the
position to click.
Square, rectangle, corner radius (same as square)
● The path of the following tools can be shifted in the direction of the
Caution processing angle of the tool only.
Obround, double-D, single-D, or rounded square
● When tools below are single-hit, they must be clicked with the geometric
point data.
Round, special, forming, or triangle

3. Set each item in the [Shift] dialog box.

4. Move the mouse and click position to shift tooling to. Or
enter the amount of shift and press the Enter key.
● The amount of shift should be entered in a (+) value for the expansion 5
direction and in a (-) value for the deduction direction from the original

● Enter the shift angle for the path of tool for arcs. Enter a (-) value for the Assigned
clockwise direction and a (+) value for the counterclockwise direction.

5. To continuously shift other tool paths, repeat steps 2 to 4.


To terminate the operation, click on a position with no tool
path.
6. Click [Close] in the [Shift] dialog box to exit.

● The positive (+) value makes tooling length longer, negative (-) value 5

5.9.1 Micro Joint for Both Sides

Create Joint (Tab) at the intersection point of tooling selected.

Operation 1. Click [Part Edit], [Micro Joint], and [Both Directions].


2. Enter the micro joint amount.

3. Click the intersection of two tooling to select both with one


click. Or select one by one.

4. Click [Close].

5. The lap amount between the joint tool and other tooling is
approximately 5% of the tool size. Correct by using shift type
of edit functions if necessary.

5.9.2 Micro Joint for One Side


[Part Edit]-[Micro Joint]-[One directions]
Set the micro joint between the intersections of two tooling. It creates
joint to one side of the tooling.
1. Click [Part Edit], [Micro Joint], and [One directions].
Operation
2. Enter the amount of micro joint.

Not to create a wire joint, set [Off]. For creation, set one of the

- Count (Center icon):
Automatically creates a number of wire joints that is set in [Joint
Qty] for each shear proof perimeter cut.
- Gap (Right icon):
Automatically creates a wire joint at a every dimension set at
[Joint Space].
$ Joint Amount
Specify a wire joint size.
$ Joint Qty
Only when you select [Count] in [Space], set how many joints to
be created.
$ Joint Space
Only when you select [Gap] in [Space], set a length to create joint.

5.10 Set Process After Punch

Set machine stop, work chute open after specific hits. At the machine, Edit

machine will process machine stop or work chute after tooling Assigned
specified by this function. Tools

The end values are for both scrap from cutout and part. The one for
part will be processed after the one for scrap.
Note If no end value is set, sequence is basically in the assigned order.
However, the order may be changed due to the fixed processing order
or tool sort. By using the end value, perimeter cut will be done before
holes even same tool is used.
Operation 1. Click [Part Edit] and [Setup End Value].
2. Set each item in the [Set End Value] dialog box.

3. Click the path of tool to assign the end value (process after
punch) and click [Create].
● To set process to other tooling, set each item in the [Set End Value]
dialog box as needed. And then click the target tooling and click

[Create]. Until you hit [Close], you can specify end value continuously.
● To cancel the end value, click the path that is set to the end value, and
then click [Release] in the [Set End Value] dialog box.

Chute Part: Open work chute (Output M code set for work chute
in machine parameter) for dropping the part.

5.11 Set Fixed Sequence

Force sequence for specified tools when it is needed. (i.e.: When Edit

tools are manually assigned, need to ignore the tool sort order set in Assigned
setting and specify order to protect part.) Tools

The sequence specified with this function will be kept regardless. However, this is

keeping only sequence of specified tooling so other tool might be inserted in

When the sequence is set from ① to ④ as picture above, and tool sort setting is

1. Click [Part Edit] and [Fix Process Order].


Operation 2. Click tooling by order of processing.
● To specify the order of same tool, check [Same Tooling Limit
Tips Instruction], and click one tooling. Only the same tool will be
hightlighted to select. Click highlighted tools according to the order of
processing.

● To cancel specified sequences, click tooling that has fixed order and then
click [Release] in the [Fix Process Order] dialog box.
Tips ● To confirm the fixed sequences, click tooling that has fixed order, and
then click the [Confirm] button in the [Fix Process Order]
dialog box. The color of path is changed according to the order of
processing.

4. Click [Close].

Divide the slotting tool path into a given length. Edit

Use this function when the slotting length is longer than the Assigned
maximum length set in material manager. (when the tool path is Tools
drawn in white).
Operation 1. Click [Part Edit] and [Divide Slot Processing].
2. Click position to divide on the tooling. Or enter the
coordinate and press the Enter key.
● Crosshair cursor can be used to specify position.
Tips ● If the tool path is displayed in white after it is divided, thetooling is still
longer than maximum processing length. Divide the tooling again.

3. Right mouse button click and select [Cancel].

Change a C-axis value (Angle) of the tooling of the AI tool. Assigned


Tools
1. Click [Part Edit]-[Change AI Angle].
Operation
2. Select the tooling for changing angle. (Dragging mouse and
make window or click one by one)
● When [Confirm Continous Addition] on system tab of Condition Setup
Tips condition is selected, any number of tooling can be selected by clicking each
path continuously. If [Confirm Continous Addition] is not selected, any
number of process paths can be selected by clicking each path continuously
while holding the Shift key.

3. Enter the C-axis value in the [Change C-Axis] dialog box and
then click [Apply].

4. Click [Close].

Set a trim width from edge of a part. The value will be used for PLS Assigned

This function is for VL205 (Vipros L-shear machine).

Operation 1. Click [Part Edit] and [Set Parts Trim Width].


2. In [Part Trim Width] in the [Parts Distance Setting] dialog box,
select sides of the part to set trim width, then click the [Apply]
button.

! With all Parts Distance:


Sets a trim width for the four sides of a part.
! Without Parts Distance (Right/Left):
Set a trim width for the top and bottom of a part.
! Without Parts Distance (Upper/Lower):
Sets a trim width for the right and left sides of a part.
! Without Parts Distance:
No trim width.
3. Click the [Close] button.
