2. Slide the NFC Cover in the direction of the arrow, and remove it.
To install the NFC Cover, fit the four Ribs of the NFC Cover to the Grooves of the
NFC Cover Inner, slide it in the rear direction.

1. Open the ADF cover. Take care not to let cables get caught in the cover.
2. Remove the six screws (S18: ). Make sure to follow the procedure below to attach the ADF Rear Cover.
3. While lifting the ADF Document Support, remove the ADF Rear Cover in the direction of 1. With the ADF cover opened, attach the ADF Rear Cover so that its “A” portion is

1. Release the cables from the locking wire saddles. 5. Remove the six screws (S15: ) from each of the two ADF hinges.
2. Release the lock on the connectors, then disconnect CN1, CN2, and CN3 connectors. 6. Open the ADF Unit.
3. Pull out the cables from the rib of the ADF FFC Cover. 7. Pull out the ADF hinges to remove the ADF Unit.
4. Release the lock, and remove the FFC (x1).

Fix the SCN Hinge Part by the following procedure. 1. Move the lock lever to unlock, then open the ADF cover.
1. Put the SCN Unit on the printer aligning the Guide Pin (x2). 2. Disengage the two hooks, then open the ADF Retard Roller Cover.
2. Loosen the three screws each on the machine side (S6: ) of the SCN Hinge (x2).
3. Fix the SCN Unit to the SCN Hinge (x2) with two screws (S6: ) each.
4. Tighten the screws (S6: ) which are loosen in step 2.
