Fix the SCN Hinge Part by the following procedure. 1. Move the lock lever to unlock, then open the ADF cover.
1. Put the SCN Unit on the printer aligning the Guide Pin (x2). 2. Disengage the two hooks, then open the ADF Retard Roller Cover.
2. Loosen the three screws each on the machine side (S6: ) of the SCN Hinge (x2).
3. Fix the SCN Unit to the SCN Hinge (x2) with two screws (S6: ) each.
4. Tighten the screws (S6: ) which are loosen in step 2.

3. Remove the ADF Separation Roller in the direction of the arrow. 1. Open the ADF Unit.
2. Peel off the SCN Document Mat from the ADF unit to remove it.

Install the SCN Document Mat with the following procedure.

1. Peel off the release paper of all the double-sided tap affixed to the sponges of the
SCN Document Mat.
2. Orient the SCN Document Mat so its sponge affixing surfaces are upward, align
the origin point, and place the SCN Document Mat on the SCN Document Glass.
3. Move the SCN Document Mat approximately 0.5 mm away from the origin
position both lengthwise and widthwise.
4. Close the ADF Unit to affix the SCN Document Mat to the ADF Unit. And then,
make sure no part of the mat comes out over the edges.
