MICRO-PROJECT PROPOSAL

TITLE: “Water Pollution”

1.0 Aims/Benefits of the Micro-Project:

The aims of preventing water pollution are to safeguard human and


environmental health, ensure the availability of clean water resources, and
promote sustainable development. The benefits include improved public
health, environmental conservation, economic stability, cost savings, and
compliance with regulations.

2.0 Course Outcomes Addressed :

 Students may gain an understanding of the various sources of water


pollution.
 They may also learn about the environmental, social, and economic
impacts of water pollution on ecosystems and human health.
 They may also learn how to communicate their findings effectively
through reports or presentations.

3.0 Proposed Methodology :

 Assessment and monitoring: Conduct a thorough assessment of water


bodies to identify pollution sources and determine the extent of
contamination.
 Regular monitoring should be implemented to track changes in water
quality over time.
 Stormwater management: Implement effective stormwater management
systems to prevent runoff from carrying pollutants into water bodies.
 Develop and enforce robust policies and legislation to regulate and control
water pollution.
