1. INTRODUCTION

Good afternoon teacher and classmates, today we're going to present

our Project Work called “A Great Visit to the Bookstore”. We are:

- Lara Valdivieso Xiomara Cecilia.

- Sialer Peña Joseph Jacob.

- Pelaez Davila Kenyn Alinson.

The last person is who is speaking to you, our project is about a visit

to the bookstore, using places, adjectives, adverbs of frequency, verb to be,

questions about quantity, preferences, etc.

The dialogue takes place in a small town in the United States of

America. The characters are:

- Jacob: A twenty years old man who lives in the town.

- Xiomara: Jacob’s eighteen years old sister.

- Kenyn: The receptionist, assistant and salesperson in the library.

- Joseph: Jacob and Xiomara’s father.

2. BODY

A GREAT VISIT TO THE BOOKSTORE

SCENE ONE

(Jacob and Xiomara are walking home from work)

- Jacob: I'm so bored. I wish there was something to do.

- Xiomara: Me too. It's so quiet in this town.

- Jacob: Maybe we could go to the library.

- Xiomara: That's a good idea.

SCENE TWO

(Jacob and Xiomara arrive at the library)

- Jacob: (to Xiomara) Look, it's so big!

- Xiomara: Yeah, it's huge.

- Jacob: I wonder how many books they have.

- Xiomara: I don't know, but I'm sure it's a lot.

(Jacob and Xiomara walk into the library)

Kenyn: Hello, I’m the receptionist in the library, Can I help you?

Jacob: Yes, we want to check some books.

Kenyn: Sure, what kind of books are you interested in?

- Xiomara: I like to read about science.

- Jacob: I like to read about math.

- Kenyn: Okay, I'll show you where the science books are.

(The receptionist leads Jacob and Xiomara to the science section of the

library)

SCENE THREE

(Jacob and Xiomara are browsing the science section)

- Jacob: Wow, look at this book about Stephen Hawking!

- Xiomara: I love Stephen Hawking!

- Jacob: Me too.

- Xiomara: I want to read this book.

(Jacob and Xiomara check out the book about Stephen Hawking)

- Kenyn: Here you go. That will be 20 dollars.

- Jacob: (to Xiomara) Do you have any money?

- Xiomara: Yeah, I have some.

(Xiomara gives the receptionist 20 dollars)

- Kenyn: Thank you. Here are your books. I also have books by Aurelio

Baldor and also by Katherine Collin and they are on sale, which one

do you prefer?

- Xiomara: No thanks very much, but I'll buy it next week.

- Kenyn: Of course, it will be a pleasure to receive your visit. Until next

week.

(Jacob and Xiomara thank the receptionist and leave the library)

- Jacob: I have a university class now, you're going home.

- Xiomara: Don’t worry, see you.

(Xiomara walk home, talking about their new books)

SCENE FOUR

(They walk up to their house and see a Joseph sitting on the couch)

- Joseph: Hey, Xiomara. How was your day?

- Xiomara: It was good. I went to the library with my brother.

- Joseph: That's great. What did you get?

- Xiomara: I got a book about science, by Stephen Hawking. And Jacob

got a book about math.

- Joseph: That's sounds interesting. I always be interested in the

science. I think it's important to learn about the cosmos.

- Xiomara: Yeah, I agree.

(The two of them talk for a few more minutes, and Xiomara go outside of the

house)

- Joseph: That was nice. I'm glad my kids had a good time. I'm proud of

them for being interested in learning. It's important to have a thirst for

knowledge.

(Joseph sit on the porch for a while longer, talking about their children and

their own interests)

3. CONCLUSIONS

These topics are important for learn English because they are used in

everyday conversations. For example, we often talk about places, things,

and people. We also use adjectives and linking verbs to describe things and

people. Also, we use frequency adverbs to talk about how often we do things.

The dialogue shows how these topics can be used in different contexts.
