Subject: Happy Holidays Safety Tips🎄🎊

Dear Team,

As many of us approach the festive holiday break, may the season be filled with joy, relaxation, and quality
time with your loved ones. For those, who continue to work through, may you still enjoy the festivities,
and be able to take a bit of time out to enjoy the special moments with your loved ones as well.

While celebrating, let’s also not forget to prioritise safety and to return rejuvenated and ready for the new
year.
Here are a few safety tips to keep in mind during the holiday season:
1. Travel Safely
 If you’re planning to travel, plan your journey and check the condition of your vehicle.
 Ensure proper rest breaks to stay alert on the roads. Stay vigilant always.
2. Home decorations
 When decorating, ensure to use stable ladders and secure decorations to prevent accidents.
 Be cautious with candles and the use of lights. Make sure lights are switched off when not in
use.
3. Fire Safety
 Make sure electrical equipment not in use when on holiday is unplugged at home and plugs
switched off. Electrical fires occur quickly.
 Make sure the fireplaces used is in a good condition and use screening for sparks where you
can.
4. Food handling
 Ensure to utilise those cooking skills with great care and avoid foodborne illness during festive
meals.
 Practice safe cooking habits!
5. Relaxation and well-being
 Take care to relax and recharge and remember to prioritize self- care.
 Stay hydrated!
 Engage in physical activities and simply have fun!

Keep your emergency contacts with you , stay safe always and have an amazing time!

Vriendelike Groete/ Kind Regard
