Lesson Plan 7 Graphics 1st Year
Lesson Plan 7 Graphics 1st Year
Students will have only received their classes two weeks before starting this class due to CAT testing
for the first two weeks. They have received drawing equipment. The teacher has gone over his plan
for the year with the students and made an area for the students to store their drawing equipment
when class ends. A seating arrangement has also been made.
Students have no skills in Graphics and will be learning from the beginning. Students have been
developing their skills to date in the basics of Graphics.
In last week’s class, the students had their Christmas test and therefore, didn’t have a class. In the
previous class, we covered how to bisect and divide a line and draw simple constructions using these
methods. Students are developing their neatness and accuracy. Improving the student's basic
knowledge of Graphics is the main learning outcome. The students are ambitious and willing to learn.
2. LESSON RATIONALE
Brief outline of WHY this content is the basis of the lesson, and why these teaching KEY*
methodologies were selected- a justification.
o Moving into week 8 I want to further develop the student's drawing skills. RL
o Learning how to draw simple constructions is good for developing the student's
neatness and accuracy for harder constructions.
o Learning how to identify and bisect with angles is important in Graphics and in the NL
student's progression.
o The students skills in Graphics are improving as we progress through the weeks and
advancing the work as we move along is important.
