SAINT ANDREW Materials


They are developed in the school, along with the
teacher. Please bring the materials on time, according
to each due date.
Creative- innovator Project “Positive Affirmation Wall” 10%
Saint Andrew School
Level: 2nd grade
Subject: Grammar & Written Expression
Teacher: Nathalie Álvarez
Objective: Stating positive affirmations about myself and others
Instructions: Students will develop the project in three parts:

● First, in class, they will review the information they have to share: I am smart / You are kind / She is
brave / He is funny / We are happy, etc… Students can also create new phrases and ask the Teacher for
help. In their Writing notebook, they will copy one phrase using the pronouns “we, or you”. For example:
“You are smart”, “We are kind”

● Second, students will use colored cardboard paper to rewrite and decorate their phrases. The idea is to
poste them in the classroom windows to create a “Positive Affirmation Wall”

● Third, with the help of the teacher, students will present their “Positive Affirmation Wall”.

Materials will be needed on August 1st, 2022. (Materials will be taken from the classroom)

● Writing notebook.
● 1 colored cardboard paper (letter seize).
● Colored markers, pencils, scissors and tape.

Subject: Oral Expression
Teacher: Sofía Azofeifa
Objective: To recognize the planets
Instructions: Students will develop the project in three parts:

● First, in class, they will start painting the balls of styrofoam as similar to the planets and the sun as they
can.

● Second, students will put the sticks inside the biggest ball of Styrofoam (this will be the sun) and they
will order the planets as they are in the solar system.

● Third, with the help of the teacher, students will present their Solar System to their classmates.

Materials will be needed on August 1st, 2022.

● Balls of Styrofoam:
1 big ball (as big as your hand)
