COMMENT:
In analyzing the results of our ASK modulation and demodulation experiment
conducted in Simulink, it is evident that the performance of the system closely
aligns with theoretical expectations. The modulated signal, when subjected to
an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel, exhibited the expected
degradation in signal quality as the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) decreased. This
phenomenon highlights the susceptibility of ASK to channel noise, which is a
characteristic of amplitude modulation schemes. The demodulation process in
Simulink successfully recovered the original message signal. As the SNR
improved, the accuracy of the demodulation process increased, leading to fewer
bit errors. These results underscore the importance of a reliable SNR in the
demodulation process and the inherent trade-off between signal quality and
noise immunity in ASK modulation.
