SYDNEY - YSSY GDP-A 1900-1000 Wednesday 31 January 2024

ATFM-CDM Notes
METCDM Notes:
[1] 1900-1159: A weak trough just north of the airport is expected to move further north during the day and direct S’ly flow and low cloud over the area. Cloud 0600-1000ft lifting 1000-2000ft
during the day. There is chance of ILSC conditions until 00Z and ILSA conditions between 03-07Z. Showers, and slight risk of storms over offshore areas before mid-afternoon. Light S to SSW
winds increasing and becoming S to SE during the morning. There is risk of winds being light and variable at the start of the METCDM. Aloft winds increases 20-25 knots during the afternoon
therefore, expect similar values of gusts and headwind on RWY 16 approach.

MELBOURNE - YMML GDP-A 0500-1100 Wednesday 31 January 2024

ATFM-CDM Notes

METCDM Notes:
[1] 1900-2259: A ridge across the area with a southerly flow over the area. Cloud around 2500ft initially lifting to 3000ft during the morning.
[2] 2300-1259: RWY 09/27 closed 2300-0500Z, NOTAM C12/24. S to SE winds increasing, reaching 20 knots aloft and likely to favour RWY 16 during the remainder of the afternoon before winds ease and turn
SW during the evening. Operations on RWY 16 maintained after runway works due to risk of crosswinds exceeding threshold in gusts. Cloud 3000-3500ft, lowering to 2000-2500ft late evening.

Arrivals - YPPH GDP-A 0030-1400

PERTH Arrivals - YPPH GDP-D 2130-0030
Wednesday 31 January 2024
ATFM-CDM Notes
METCDM Notes:
[1] 2200-0359: High pressure system in the Bight combined with a trough along the coast will result in N to ENE flow over the area. CAVOK conditions with ENE’ly winds varying between E and
NE with 25-30 knots NE’ly gradient winds easing. There is a chance of surface winds gusting to 25 knots before 23Z however, if surface winds are not gusty than risk of wind shear early morning
is elevated (x-factor applied).
[2] 0400-1359: CAVOK. Surface winds quickly turning through NW and becoming SW with the sea breeze. RWY 03 indicated during the most likely time of winds being between 285-327 degrees.
Timing of runway change can vary by an hour.
