Introduction: Background of Project (location, objectives, and other relevant information)

Proper Waste Segregation Seminar and distributing flyers to the residents of Barangy Puntod are the
proposed projects we plan to conduct as we have learned and discussed with Sir Greg that the increase
of garbage in there barangay is one of the rampant issued faced by them with that we aim to educate
the residents of the barangay about the importance of segregating their garbage as we discover that
root of these issue is due to lack of awareness and ignorance of the people living in Barangay Puntod.
Other than that, we also hope to enlighten them with their responsibility as a consumer.

Methodology

This project is conducted gathering information from the barangay officials such as Sir Greg Paraiso and
an interview with residents of Barangay Puntod to hear the thoughts of the people about their idea of
proper segregation as well their level of awareness. From that, we then plan to create an advocacy video
and distributing brochures/ flyers to help barangay officials of Puntod in spreading awareness and
knowledge to the residents. As well as achieve our objective and that is to educate the people of
Barangay puntod about the importance of proper waste disposal and their role and responsibility as a
consumer.

Output (Highlights/Achievement)

The following are the highlights and achievement of the group

 Identifying the pressing issues of Barangay Puntod with Sir Greg Paraiso
 Interviewing two local residents of the barangay
 Gather pictures and video clips for our advocacy video/awareness video

Issues and Concerned encounter

The major challenges faced by my group in conducting this activity is our lack of time. As a student
enrolled in accountancy course this has been our consistent challenge aside from balancing our time and
schedule. Since we really hope to conduct a seminar for the residents of Barangay Puntod to help
barangay officials in implementing awareness and education to them in issues about proper segregation
of garbage as well as to let residents of our assigned area become aware of their responsibility as a
consumer to guide and helped them in becoming a responsible citizen and good steward towards our
environment.
